AOR means Acknowledge of receipt

Now they will start working on your application..

If every thing in order, soon your will receive SA

I see, so i might not have signed the one form then. Hopefully i will hear something back soon.

Maybe they will ask you to send new form with signature.

I repeat can u please advise when u submit your application to CIC? on which month?

Sorry, i sent it on the 19th may. It was received on the 20th. I'm applying outland, from the UK. Touch wood, i think they will send my package back to be honest.

dont feel bad hope they will not return and ask for new form which signature..

To answer the original question...

Yes, when you have received an official AOR from CIC, that means that your application package was opened and the required forms and signatures have been verified by someone at CIC.

It's still possible that they can ask you for something now, but the chances of your entire application being returned (meaning you lose your place in the queue) are much smaller.

The following is found on CIC document IP 8 (page 28):

Initial receipt and coding

An initial process occurs on receipt of every application, including those involving Quebec applicants. This process includes information gathering, record creation and administrative steps to ensure that initial evaluation can begin. This process includes, among others, the following steps:
verification for completeness;
• return to sponsor, if application is not complete, or acceptance by date stamp receipt;
• creation of both a paper and electronic file;
acknowledgement;
• request for any support documents or information that may be missing;
• verification of and possible printing of the FOSS and/or CAIPS record; and
• electronic transfer of biodata information to CPIC.

Acknowledgement, is AOR.

I sent my application dec 17, got aor in mississauga dec 18, aor2 (transferred to my VO) mar 17. They emailed me may 31 to ask for extra documentation (childrens birth certificates), and havent heard anything since.
