Thanks much Jaybe. Is this based on the tracksheet? cause I know for some people that got their PPR , it's not been updated.

Hey guys, just letting you know that I am now officially a permanent resident of Canada. WOHOOO!!!

I was a FSW inland applicant.

Jun 23: AOR
Dec 02: PPR (Passport Request)
Dec 16: received CoPR and passport back with Immigrant visa.
Dec 16: left Canada to spend the weekend in the US
Dec 19: Landed back in Canada, officially becoming a PR

How the landing process went

Everyone told me officers would be extremely nice to me and that they really enjoy that part of their job of welcoming new residents. However, the first officer was quite rude to me. He was very pissed that I wrote a Canadian address as my home address. He insisted that I was about to land as an immigrant, so at the time my home was not Canada yet. He kept repeating that over and over, no matter how I explained it. I explained I'd been living in Canada for a while and that I don't have an address in my home country anymore, but he still insisted that I should not have written a Canadian address in my customs declaration form. His rudeness came as a surprise to me because I've been in and out of Canada several times, and they've always been extremely nice and polite to me. I was not expecting it, especially during the landing procedures.

He sent me to a second officer who would actually proceed with the landing process. The second officer was awesome, super polite and nice. Everything was fast and smooth. He just asked me the standard questions, asked me if I had any questions and was quite helpful.

I'm now just waiting for my PR card, which should take about 48 days according to CIC's website.

Congratulations!
From which border did you land or did you do the formal landing at local CIC office?

Vancouver International Airport (YVR). That was also where the formal landing happened. I flew to San Francisco, spent the weekend, and then flew back to Vancouver, where I work and live.

It is probably NDVO but ordering notes at this point would give you lots of useful information.

Good luck!

Thanks buddy. Yes, it is NDVO only. I got that information over a call to CIC... :)

Hi there

We share quite same details regarding our application & nomination except AOR date. For one CSE to IRCC, I also got same reply from IRCC. The only way to surely know about VO is GCMS notes as per my understanding(I ordered & I know now). Since you have already completed 6 months, I suggest you order GCMS notes & also you can raise a CSE to NDVO to know application status.

Hope it helps.

Thanks for writing. It is NDVO. I'll be applying for gcms notes. I read on this forum that it takes 1-1.5 month to receive gcms notes. Is that correct?
