nothing special...the day I got my passport and copr...drove to the border and landed the next day.. well you have to land before the expiry of your medicals...landing is simple-10 mins-quick in and out :) once the PA completes the landing the dependants can land anytime before the expiry of their medicals...

Hi lazybone

My situation is...

1. My family members are in Canada along with me as I am on WP.
2. Medicals expiry for all of us is 24th July 2017.
3. WP expiry is 31st March 2017, so are the study permits (SP) expiring.

Now that PR approval is in place, I don't need a BOWP, right ?
I think we would all need to complete the landing procedure before WP & SP expiry i.e. 31st March 2017.

Secondly, the flag poling system for landing procedure, where you go to US border and come back, can you confirm that they do not stamp a rejected US entry in the passports ?

Congrats to all who got PPR. I am really happy for you guys.
I am a bit worried as most of the PNP with my timeline got PPR already.

I haven't, and my timeline is earlier than yours. So don't worry

Hi brothers and sisters,

First Congratulations for all who got their PPRs Smiley

I need help with my funding situation recently. I got my AOR in July (just one person). I provided CAD$15,000 and USD$4,800 at the same time. I'm going to the States for two weeks during Christmas so I need to withdraw my USD, at least 2,000. I haven't received my PPR but it will be soon I guess in a month. If I withdraw my USD, is that gonna influence my application? Are they gonna check funding again before issuing PPR? I got my GCMS notes said funding met critiria: $15,000
If anyone knows what I should do, please help me! I really appreciate! Thank you!

It should not any impact as the minimum criteria for funds for 1 person is CAD 11,931. Already you showed more than required i.e. CAD 15K. The other funds are surplus. So there should now be any concern if you use your USD.

regarding flagpoling and landing let me clarify

flagpoling-when you dont have US VISA...you go out of Canada to the US side and come back into Canada to do your landing procedures...the US side gives you a Admin refusal letter in most cases...i havent heard that they stamp the refusal on your passport..... that refusal has no impact on applying to the US in the future...

if you do have a US VISA -you go out of Canada into US and come back for landing

My case- I have a US VISA...i drove out of Canada...100 metres between Canada and US is No mans land..i drove till there..never went to US side and came to Canada border to do landing...

By the way, when you go to land, you have to take all your WP/SP-all previously issued...on landing...all of them become null and void...because your status changes and you become PR :)

Best wishes! :)

Yes all our medicals are done on the same date.

I have a US Business Visa but my other family members don't have it.

As per your saying, seems it should not be a problem for my family members too who don't have a US visa. I was just worried about something being stamped as refusal on PP as I heard.

Most probably the CoPR expiry date would be my medicals expiry date as my passport expiry is 2020.

Thanks lazybone.

It is technically required to maintain POF throughout your application. However, it should be enough as long as you maintain the cutoff. Please make sure that you have the minimum funds before you do your landing.

Thanks! That's not a problem to me. I just need my USD. Do I have to bring bank statements when I'm landing to prove I've been mainteen my CAD?

Yes. Latest bank statements.

Yes. Latest bank statements.

Is that also necessary when you are already at work in Canada?
