Thank you very much Iphie28. It was a long journey but the result is all it matters. Keep trusting yourself and think positive: they are asking for additional doc means you are still in the run. All the best wishes to you

Thanks reayath ;)

Crossing 7 months this Friday and it makes me feel like this can easily take forever to get some decision.

There seems to be zero movement on my file from June 22nd and the worst is I can do nothing about it :(

I can totally feel you. My (FSW Outland) AOR is Jan 29 and BG check in progess since July 6. Just called CIC and the agent said they are still "working on it" and no further information can be provided. I just read the thread that some fellows have been waiting for more than 9 months since the BG check in progress and this is making me frustrated and hopeless now. Worth a shower cry.

Did you try to call them? Is your file in Ottawa or in your local VO?

Same here. Or even worst, my file is in LVO and I can't call CIC and asking for update. I opened a CSE to inform them for renewed passpord and got this reply:

Dear .................,
Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
We can confirm the reception of the documents.

Since your file is located at a Canadian visa office outside Canada, you must also contact them in order to report important changes, provide documents, obtain information regarding the status of your application or enquire on an outcome to your request.

To obtain the list of visa offices outside Canada, please visit our website.

Please visit the online Help Centre or our website for further information. You can search by typing keywords.

Sincerely,
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada

Really funny, even CSE doen't work for me. Sent mail to LVO last week, still no answer.

Did you order a note? Just call them again, ask them the same question, my experience was the first time the agent only told me my file is in process & everything looks fine, but the 2nd time after the agent said the same think I kept asking what is my status, was my med, eglibility, or security check passed? Then he told me my security was in process

Are most people who are still waiting outland applicant? Are there movements in other groups like February or March AOR group for outland applicants? What about inland applicants from February or March AOR group? Are they stuck too or are their applications being processed within the normal time limit?

i submitted the passport 2 weeks after PPR :p so that was one delay.. the rest was SGVO...

How long does it take from submitting the passport and the collection with visa inside with SGVO?
What was your AOR date?

Once you get back you passport, how many months you have to land in Canada?

Thanks!

I did call them on a weekly basis. A few weeks ago one agent told me that they were doing my security check, now one month passed, another agent said they were "working on it" and no other information he could provide. I have no idea what took so long for my security check.

I am going to order the GCMS note anyway...

Also, my file is still in Ottawa and I am an Outland FSW, anybody knows if the file will transfer to the local VO at a later stage, or will go through the whole process until final decision in Ottawa?

Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Seems the waiting time haunts both the inland and outland applicants. Once the application passes the 6 month time frame there is literally no time frame after that. This is the killing part.
