Post AOR it doesnt matter. At landing they might ask you to show POF. So at that time, make sure you have minimum amount of funds.

You need not carry too much cash! My friend landed with $500 CAD cash and some money in his forex card no questions asked. If immigration asks you will need to show proof of disposable income which is transferable to Canada accounts (bank statements, forex card, bank letter etc) , generally they ask if you are carrying more than $10k CAD as you will have to declare it. It is always safe to keep all your financial documents handy in case of additional questions.

Good luck!

Finally, some movement in my application, BG check changed today to 'in progress' from 'not started' after 174 days.

Hi Tushar,

We both have same Background check status i.e Not needed at this time.
My AOR is feb 6th and I am FSW inland.
I recd ghost email on last friday.

THe only thing getting me worried is why our BG Check is nor showing "In Progress" like other applicants.
IS it a good sign or not, I dont have any idea.

Did your status change from not started to not needed? If that's the case then your paperwork is done and complete. Thats what I was told by the cic agent. Thought she said wait till August end for the email. You still have almost 20 days for 6 months mark. You will soon receive more updates :)

Crossing six months mark as of today! No reply from NDVO nor any changes in myCIC. :'(
