How many months has it been since the AOR? Don't worry your BGC will go in progress soon!

I received the AOR on 21st Jan 2016. 13 days to 6 months!

Looks like almost everyone has received their PPR. Waiting for the return of our passports is another wait ...

I am in exactly the same situation as you are. My AOR was Jan 20, and apart from the medical update, no other updates at all from CIC. In fact my Background Check is still NOT STARTED.

Guys, unlike most of you, my application status has not changed ever since I received the AOR i.e., 21st Jan 2016. Well, the only update is that I passed the medical test - that's it. This upsets me because, from what I have seen here, one does not receive a Passport Request unless IRCC completes the background check on you. Is that a safe / correct assumption?

Are there any other people like me? I wouldn't want to call CIC as the 6-month-normal-processing-time for EE applications has not passed yet.

Called CIC today !!

Agent was nice and kind enough to pull the details. He told me that all verifications ( including BGC ) on my applications is completed and Final Decision is pending. They might take few days to summarize and send final decision.

I hoping to see some good news by next week....

What number did you call? Were you over 6 months yet?

Myself and lots of people still haven't.

I tried 888-242-2100 and its saying 'Cannot connect and please check the no you have dialed'. Does this no work only for people inside Canada? I am calling from USA.

You are missing 1 in the beginning of the number

Just try as the other reply suggested (add 1). I am not at the stage to be able to contact CIC, as I have not crossed the 6-month mark yet.

Hope you get through and let us know how the call went!

Nice!!! Yes, they send PPRs on batches. So I believe that the process of many applicants is finished and they want to finalize more applications so that they send PPRs to more people.

Has any inland FSW people got PPR'S from Jan AOR? after June 25th. Just wanted to know if they are sending PPR'S to the inland ppl

I haven't. AOR January 26. BGC went into progress June 28th (or 29th) and no updates since.

This is really starting to consume my everyday life. I'm trying to put myself in a state of mind where this shouldn't be an issue until my 6 months is up. So, basically, I'm trying rewire my mind to not care or worry. Clearly, I'm failing miserably.
