i can confirm, at first the status on the application was "updated" then went back to Submitted
I got ghost email and my Background moved to "in Progress"
Finally things are moving

Same happened to me just now but my background check has been in progress for months so I can't see any difference.

EDIT: I never actually received an email. I just logged into my account and I saw that the application status had been updated.

I'm glad something is finally starting to happen.
Although it looks like it might be a few days before the decision is made.

Email comes after 12-15 hours of profile being updated. I also saw my profile update in the morning, but email came few hours ago.

Maybe this means someone is finally doing something with the information they received.
I.e. they re-opened your file and are going through everything.

My background check has changed to in progress since june 20 or 21...no movement since then!

In the morning it said approved on the outside messages where it shows updated.

Right now got a alert email and when i checked the background check status is completed and application has been approved/

The passport tracker still shows nothing but usually it updates late evening or early morning after the dispatch.
