Seniors, please tell me if there is any problem if the Background check is in progress from january 19th till today? I am bit worried on this.

I heard if the Criminal is passed than the Background goes to not needed and than in last background again moves to in progress which results in PPR....

Please tell if anyone has idea about the background check stuff?

I'm in the same situation. I'm FSW Outland (no PNP) and my BG went into in progress about the same time and no change since.

Hi All,

I've finally got an update on my application (FSW Outland) since my AOR (25 Jan 2016). My background check changed to in progress and I received a letter from CIC with below content:

"This is in reference to your application for a permanent resident visa, which has been found eligible in the Class for which it was submitted. Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing; you will be contacted if additional information is required for that purpose.
Before we can approve your application, we require payment of the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF). You must pay this fee before a permanent resident visa can be issued. The RPRF must be paid once for yourself as a principal applicant and once for your accompanying spouse or common law partner, if applicable."

I assume my PR is approved and visa is pending security checks to be issued.

Let me know your thoughts :)

We cannot be too sure until you get the Final Mail from CIC for PR...

At this point its a really good movement that you have been asked for rprf with your BG in progress.

Best of Luck buddy hope you get the good news soon

Amit

Your visa is not approved and it is clearly stated in the email: "Admissibility review (security, criminality and/or medical) is still ongoing". I guess you have security check left, because medical and criminality are usually verified on earlier stages. On this stage it is unlikely to get a rejection, so your PPR is on the way.
You are also required to pay RPRF fee if you haven't done this yet.

Good luck!

Would like to share that I received my PPR yesterday..!!!

Thanks everyone for all the support..

Thank you, Shining Star! I will do. Did you receive any reply from CIC after sending it via CSE?
Hi,

No, it was just an auto response email.
