Mine did last week.

Looks like both yours and mine changed to in progress on May 26th. both our AORs are relatively early in the month too.

Does anyone else have a similar change in their application status?

I have the same problem as well... My due date is 06.25. I'm going to send an email next week to SINP regarding this matter.

After you apply for an extension and receive a revised letter, please also send it to CIC via CSE. I checked with SINP and they told me that I need to provide this letter to CIC myself.

Yeah I noticed that. Did you by any chance get the opportunity to order your GCMS? I ordered them twice - once at the beginning of Feb after my file moved from CIO to Ottawa and then later on in April. Both times I noticed my A 11.2 were never calculated/processed. From other's GCMS, it felt like the A 11.2 were pretty much calculated as soon as Ottawa received the file.

I am CEC Inland - AOR Jan 1. My BG is in progress as well since 26 May after I submitted Additional Family information form that was requested on 24 May.

I have seen a pattern that if you submit additional documents when requested, most likely your BG remains "in progress" until the end. But that's just my theory, could be wrong.

I kind of agree with you. I did not submit FBI PCC with my application. According to GCMS, in r-10, agent noted that application did not have FBI PCC and has written - 'Refer to E-Doc, Criminality pending until PCC is received'. My BG check status went to 'Not started' on the same date when R-10 got passed.
When I CSE'ed the FBI PCC later, agent noted that, FBI PCC transmitted by the applicant and Criminality check passed. However, my BG Check is still showing 'Not Started'!!

It seems, they update BG check status with R-10 check and then the 2nd update is before PPR..

Hey Mutenye, we have pretty similar timelines and categories. Let me know if you hear anything! Here's hoping we hear something over the next 2 weeks!

EE CEC (Inland)
AOR Jan 15th 2016
Application Open
Medical Passed
Background: not needed at this time

We do seem similar and are both from the same country. My complication is I'm doing this from Quebec but I want to live in Ontario...so mine might take longer. Or they just might say no and refuse me because they might believe I want to move to Toronto...I'd heard nothing for 4 months until that most recent request for another copy of my employment letter. Either way I guess we'll find out soon enough. Hope it goes well for you!

Thank you, Shining Star! I will do. Did you receive any reply from CIC after sending it via CSE?

Hello Friends
Anyone has received their GCMS notes of late?
I ordered my first on 3rd May from Visafile.info haven't got them yet!!
Thanks

Just got my GCMS notes. Took 34 days.

No update on my file since Jan 30th. Seems awful slow in Ottawa...

Haha, that is weird! I'm sure you'll be fine in regards to the Quebec/Ontario situation. Best of luck and as soon as I hear anything, I'll be sure to post on here. My thoughts are that I've seen quite a few CEC folk on the forums in early January start to receive background changes - so my guess is sometime in the next two weeks. Who knows though! My implied status kicks in this Thursday and explaining how it works to HR has been a nightmare!
