Hi guys, since the first update my bg check has been not needed at this time. Is it better than the bg check is not started or is it worse? I ask because there is a very strange description under not need - it state it mean that we haven't got pr application. What's that?

Its normal, it keeps changing at initial stage.

@Ellia - Thank you. Now it confuses me as it make sense to do CSE for foreign travel. I will be travelling frequently to Europe in coming weeks...

Well, one of the advice I've been given was not to inform the CIC at all as it's not that important. If you check one of the first messages you get from them, they are listing the things they want to be updated about, and travelling is not one of them.
On the other hand - do you expect a Sch.A request? If yes, you could wait for it and list all the travels that happened before you got the request in the form, without sending a CSE every time.

In my case, I had an address change and that New Year's trip to report. I used the LVO CSE link to report both of those things, and after a few days I got a request to send the information via a different CSE link - but they only mentioned the address change, as though they didn't really care about the trip.

im not exactly sure if i would call whats happening "impatience"
its more like anxiety with a tinge of impatience, lol.
anyways....you r right, Jan AOR isnt up to a month for most, except the first week of Jan guys....we will all get there.

Well, if you look at the December AOR group, one applicant was approved in 2 weeks, and another 4 weeks. So theoretically speaking, someone with January AOR might have got it as well – maybe s/he is not in this forum.

Thank you mate. There are two things. The letter states change in title and no change in terms/conditions,profile. But, in actual fact, from 1.1.16, I have a global role (but not mentioned on the letter) rather than previous role where i used to look after certain countries for 6 years. The origianal job description letter submitted to CIC contains 6 years of work description until dec 15. If we look at documentation, I can simply upload promtion letter and stay silent. Practically, I have a global role and I still look after my previous profile+global role.

As it is all about documentation, so I should be ok with simple upload of the promotion letter? In any case, my profile changed from 1.1.16 (same NOC) and i will be entitled to claim points for 6 years exp in addition to previous exp.

If the promotion letter lists all the roles then uploading promotion letter should be fine. Otherwise you may ask HR for reference letter on company letterhead with all the roles which you would be performing under the new title (which will list previous roles + new roles) and upload it along with promotion letter.

Ellia - Thank you. I've just gone back and read eAOR message. I second you. They defined 'circumstances' but then closed ambiguity with specific examples i.e. loss of job, nomination expiry, change of address/email, change in family etc. So it is not 'mandatory' to do CSE for travel, but at the same time does not restrict applicants too.

For "The amount of available funds you have.." on the form, do I put in whatever total amount I have across all the accounts in my bank as of today or it has to be the same number I put in on my PR application? And also do I have to get a new bank account balance certificate and attach it as proof?

What they want to know is if you have enough funds for you and your accompanying family members for one year. They don't want to know how much money you own! So, as long as, the amount is above minimum requirement, you are fine. No, you don't need a new POF. If it was needed, they would ask it separately!
