If you had enough funds when you submitted your file, you shouldn't worry.

Hello Han, the day i submitted and received the AOR, the funds were enough. But as i checked recently the $ rate, this raised a concern.
The question which keeps bugging me is, will it be ok and your reply is quite supporting.
But just out of curiosity, CIC, do they reject any applications just B'Cuz the funds is short by few hundred $ or do they ask you to update it, if they find it is short.

Thank you once again for your reply.

You are not responsible about rate change! Rates change all the time and they are unpredictable!
However, if you can show more funds, there is no harm in raising a CSE along with LOE, explaining this rate change and showing that you still have enough funds!

Hi rob_1, Do you have a Valid Job Offer ? Because in that case you do not need to declare the funds. The below is from the CIC site.

Proof of funds – Skilled immigrants (Express Entry)
Note: We update these numbers every year based on 50 per cent of the low income cut-off totals. You may want to double-check that you still have enough money, based on the new cut-off, to support your family if you immigrate to Canada. This change is small but there is a chance it could affect your eligibility.
Unless you are currently authorized to work in Canada and have a valid job offer from an employer in Canada, or you have been invited to apply under the Canadian Experience Class, you must show that you have enough money to support yourself and your family after you get to Canada.

You cannot borrow this money from another person. You must be able to use this money to pay the costs of living for your family (even if they are not coming with you).

You will need to show proof to the Canadian visa office in your home country that you have enough money when you apply to immigrate.

The amount of money you need to support your family is set by the size of your family. We update these amounts every year.

Number of
Family Members Funds Required
(in Canadian dollars)
1 $12,164
2 $15,143
3 $18,617
4 $22,603
5 $25,636
6 $28,913
7 or more $32,191
You do not have to show that you have these funds if:

you have a valid offer of arranged employment in Canada AND
you are currently working or authorized to work in Canada.
How much money should you bring?
It is a good idea to research how much it costs to live in the place where you plan to settle in Canada.

Bring as much money as you can to make moving and finding a home in Canada easier. Note, however, that Canadian customs regulations require you to declare if you are bringing more than CAN$10,000 into Canada. If you do not tell them, you may be fined, and your funds could be seized. These funds could be in the form of:

cash,
documents that show property or capital payable to you (such as stocks, bonds, debentures, treasury bills, etc.), or
documents that guarantee payment of a set amount of money, which are payable to you (such as bankers’ drafts, cheques, travellers’ cheques or money orders).

Hoping for PPR rain this week!!! Good luck to all...

Ain't this little early to expect PPR's for Jan AOR applicants, when the processing time for 80% applications per 2015 report is >3.5 months at least. So that implies updates can be expected around May 15 timeframe.

Processing Time for Express Entry Based on Final Decision Date
Application data Federal Skilled Workers (EE) Canadian Experience Class (EE) Skilled Trades (EE) Provincial/
Territorial Nominees (EE) Total EE
80% of applications finalized in x months or less 4.7 3.5 4.9 3.8 4.4

Hi apache,
Nope, I dont have a job offer from CA. I'm an OutLand applicant, not sure if the job offers for SW engineers are good at the moment and that too for my skills. I had support regarding the application from an agency locally. And regarding the detailed info, I'm already aware of the info.

When i submitted i had over 12500CAD as POF, but with $ rate fluctuations this dropped below 12100CAD. So this question related to POF popped up.

Thank you for your suggestions & info.

It seems PPR for January AORs has increased ;D ;D

I am in a group in telegram with over 10000 members. in recent days over 20 members has called for PPR, whom received their AOR in January.
Even in this forum 3 guys declared, they have called for PPR. I also found a person with Feb AOR whom called for PPR.

That is really good news! I believe most of them are either PNP/CEC or FSW outland though.
Hope IRCC speeds up FSW inlanders too.

If possible ask telegram group folks to update the Jan AOR google sheet. And you may share the Telegram group detail with this forum.

Thanks

Hi,

What if I have a mortgage loan on house I own..?

Will CIC check for that as well? I have not declared that.

Otherwise I have shown sufficient funds as POF.

Regards.
