Today, 18 Feb 2017 my background status changed from not needed to In Progress. Pretty fast.

Does this mean I cleared my R10, A11.2 and all other checks? What to expect next; In Progress to Not needed or PPR ??

Strange: I did not get the RPRF fee payment request. Please share your experience.

Yes it means you have cleared everything and file sent for final signatures

you might get RPRF req 2-3 days prior to ppr or along with PPR

The thing is I thought we get processed in the Local VO which would be Cairo in my case.

Timeline is as follows:
Letter of interest: Nov 15th 2015
OINP nomination: Nov 9th 2016
E-apr AOR: Dec 11th 2016
Meds passed: Dec 26th 2016

Add DOCs: No add. docs needed (nothing requested)
BG check: NN
Final decision: NS

It is just a guesswork. All the updates recd today were from OTTAWA so those who recd the updates might have their files at OTTAWA, not all. This has not happened with October or November applicants, so a wild guess.

you always have to consider LVO which is your home country until you are sure.

Not everyone gets transferred to the local VO.
I applied from Egypt too after oinp, 6 Dec aor and my VO is Ottawa
