I got my medical passed on 8th Feb and rest status is review in progress. Any idea how long usually they take to complete review.

It will not change. Now just wait for PPR or any additional doc request.

I happened to check my profile yesterday after a long time and the background check is in progress .. is this normal ? I believe it changes back to NN in some time if it s ok am I right?

I believe my VO is Abu Dhabi.
Country of Residence is Kuwait.
Is this normal? Is there something to be worried about?

Nothing to worry about after 2 months now. Just wait for your PPR. follow Abu Dhabi group also for tracking the VO activities.

for outlands, one of the common patterns on BG is: NN - NS - NN - IP - PPR
other is NN - IP (with some documents request many times) - NN - (IP sometimes yes sometimes no) - PPR
For those that did not pay RPRF fee, on the second NN stage is also that fee request.
