Congrats! I knew it that you will get it by this week .

Guys, got my passport and COPR back today, finally after one month one week. Lol.

Thank God.

By the way, there was no passport Photo on the immigration visa issued, is this normal?

Congratulations!!! Yeah Canadian visas don't come with your photo on it unlike the US and some away countries.

Hi,

BG Review change from "Not needed this time" to "Not started" in end Oct 2015, then change to "In progress" on 30 Apr 2016

Thank for sharing the information. Looks like change in BG is an indicator.

All this time I have been a silent reader of this forum, although sailing in the same boat with ifs and buts. I know looking at my timeline below many questions would be there (have tried to be as elaborate as possible for my details).

Self managed application
FSW- Outland
CRS-455
NOC-0111
ITA- 18th Sep 2015
Application submitted - 14th Oct 2015
AOR- 14th Oct 2015
RPRF paid- upfront
Medical passed - 20th Oct 2015
Request for additional document - 20th Oct 2015 (even though I was working during the period for which additional info was requested & provided employment letters for the same, guess CIC wanted it again as I might not have done it the way it should be while filing the details)
Additional documents provided - 21st Oct 2015
Back ground check- not started
Application refused - 16th March 2016 (employment letter didn't have full time employment and duties mentioned on it)
Appeal made - 18th March 2016 (provided new letter with all details, to issue letter with all the details my employer wanted a proof "should be from CIC" that both of the above should be mentioned on the verification letter as standard policy is not to mention; refusal letter served as proof)
RPRF refunded - 18th April 2016
Application reopened - 23rd April 2016 (many thanks to the officer)
Background check- In progress- 23rd April 2016
RPRF requested- 26th April 2016
RPRF paid- 26th April 2016
GCMS notes ordered - 2nd May 2016 (will get in June; via VISAfile.info)
ECAS- wasn't able to access ECAS ever
CIC call center- my call doesn't get connected to 1-888-242-2100 (may be I am outside Canada, that's the reason) anyone has another number to reach them from outside Canada?
PPR- awaited

Some helpful info about processing of applications-

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/econ/fsw/index.asp?v=post

On Background checks; source-

"Not started" means your application has not been accessed by officer yet. "Not needed at this time" means that your BG check went to the next stage. "In progress" means your application is started and CIO is checking the provided docs. At this time your meds are passed, criminality/RCMP screening and biographic (if applicable) are in progress. When it changes to "not needed" it means your criminality is completed, RCMP and biographic is completed, security check and eligibility is in progress and coming soon. When your last BG check stage is going to be completed (security passed) it will go back to "in progress" (though it might never gonna change since now) and your secondary visa office will start the final decision based on eligibility. After short period of time you will get your results.

Same here PP sent 25 March Islamabad Pakistan

still waiting for COPR

VFS tracker showing PP sent to Abu Dhabi while in PPR it was written to submit passports to Islamabad.

OMG...I got the PPR yesterday some 15 hours back.... Thanks to the Almighty ALLAH and all the members in this forum who has helped me and guided through the entire process. Cant explain how happy I am right now..

It exactly took 6 months to get the PPR.

I hope and pray from the bottom of my heart for everyone else who is waitin for PPR.

But something is very strange, the BG is still in process and there is no update in the mycic but I got the email Ready for Visa.

At the bottom of the email in Appendix B it is mentioned as CPCO - CPC Ottawa. Does that mean I have to send my passport to CPCO? But where is the address?

I am residing in Qatar now, can anyone suggest how to send the passport to CPC Ottawa?

Thanks alot everyone once again for your support.

many congrats.

You should also have received a message with PPR as PDF document in your CIC account.

Can you check if they mentioned Doha as your VO? VO has to be in the beginning and not in Appendix B of PPR.

Before sending passport to Canada do check the rules and regulations for your country about sending passports out of the country via mail or other means, for few countries it is illegal to send their passports via mail to other countries. Another option is to request for VO change to Doha.
