Guys,

I am starting to get worried about my passport delay to be mailed.
Passport reached CPC Ottawa on April 7th.
Application approved on April 14th
Passport has not been mailed yet, I have the tracking number and no news so far.

Is this delay common? I really appreciate your comments on this.

thank you!!

Good luck :)
Thanks mate! I tried but couldn't get past the voice menu - apparently there are too many calls as of now, I'll try later today or early tomorrow.

I have just called CIC. The agent was nice and explained they have a very large pile of passports to send out. They are taking 2 weeks on average so we should wait until the end of this week.
I have a job offer, subject to sending the proof of PR until May 1st. Lets hope for the best and keep updating this forum!

Hey Guys,

I finally received my PPR. I would like to thank all of you for being such great companions during these hard times. I wish all of our other fellow Octoberians get their PPRs soon. Thanks to the AAA, the moderator, for keeping the spreadsheet update. You are awesome man!

Also one note for fun: my profile says my total logged in time in here was 4 days, 2 hours, and 58 minutes. Take care guys,

H
Congratulations!

No, there are quite a few people from October (around 40 from this forum), who are still waiting for their PPRs. You're not alone! ;)

Not at all. Just make sure the letters contain your duties and work times accurately.

Hi all,

After receiving the CoPR I'm planning my landing in Canada. The most suitable timing for the flight due to my personal schedule and the availability of economic flights is June 30th, but I have a concern as my travel will then be coinciding with Canada Day (July 1st), a national holiday.

It will be a late flight so there is a probability we land exactly on July 1st. My question is, do you think this timing will be a problem in terms of immigration procedures at the airport? I haven't seen anywhere a note saying you cannot land on national holidays but still I have a concern that there may be fewer staff, longer queues, banks being closed etc.

I don't have a clue how national holidays and the next few days following them are like in Canada so any advice will be much appreciated. I will soon need to book my flight.

Thanx for any suggestions/advice!

No problem for landing on national holidays, just make sure you land within the last date of your landing.

No problems landing, immigration work 24/7. However, you will probably have to wait till the Monday before being able to get your SIN as Service Canada offices will be closed. Most grocery stores and banks will be closed on the 1st but are likely to be open the following day.
