Congrats for all the latest PPR's !!! you guys totally deserve it :)

Guys, one question, I received my Visa and COPR yesterday and it says City of Destination: Vancouver.

Is it mandatory for me to land in Vancouver or I can choose any other place ( except for Quebec ) to finish my landing formalities? Please let me know , for eg: if I land in Toronto , would I encounter any issues?

Thanks in advance !

Hi all,

After receiving the CoPR I'm planning my landing in Canada. The most suitable timing for the flight due to my personal schedule and the availability of economic flights is June 30th, but I have a concern as my travel will then be coinciding with Canada Day (July 1st), a national holiday.

It will be a late flight so there is a probability we land exactly on July 1st. My question is, do you think this timing will be a problem in terms of immigration procedures at the airport? I haven't seen anywhere a note saying you cannot land on national holidays but still I have a concern that there may be fewer staff, longer queues, banks being closed etc.

I don't have a clue how national holidays and the next few days following them are like in Canada so any advice will be much appreciated. I will soon need to book my flight.

Thanx for any suggestions/advice!
