you still will need US visa to , doesnt matter if you have canadian PR or not

There is no other way ? is it mandatory to leave the country and make a reentry?

I mean can't we visit CIC office or service canada instead applying for some country visa and run through all process

you dont need to leave canada..you can do inland landing at one of CIC offices.

there are lots of people who do that.

you can search this forum for inland landing

you can ask a question in this forum below

+1 if it helped

Hello house,

I have a question. While landing, what form of proof of fund is required? can I just show account balance on my account in my country or carry cash?

yes you can do both, carry cash (if in excess of 10,000 USD you have to declare it at customs ) or recent bank statement.

hope that helps

even check this forum

Entering Canada you have to declare if you have > $10,000 CAD.

Which is currently $7,500 US on xe's average rate.
I would personally err on the side of caution and declare anything over $6,500 USD at the moment. I don't know what rates CBSA uses for converting.

Hello

thank for such a detailed reply which is greatly appreciated

Question related to US visit now, do we need to obtain US visa or since we have canadian PR approval on our passport that should work for us?

What did you mean by this question? For most of us, it sounds like you wanted to *visit* and stay in the US, which you will need a US visa for (even if you are already a Canadian PR, if you are not from a US visa-exempt country).

But if you only intend to activate your PR via flagpoling, you don't need a US visa, just inform the US Border Officer you are flagpoling. You will simply be given an "administrative refusal" by US Border Patrol if you don't have a valid US visa.
