Hi,

I have a question to all the experts on this forum. I have received my ITA and submitted my application, received AOR on 2 March 2016. I am a PNP applicant (Province: Saskatchewan) under FSW outland. My current employer (a Canadian firm based in India) is considering to transfer me to Canada (Toronto only) if my PR is approved. My question is, in case I get the PR through this nomination, is it mandatory for me to find a job in Saskatchewan province only? Am i not eligible to take up my current company's offer and move to Toronto?

What is the best solution? Any advise on this would be very helpful and appreciated.

Thanks

Hi there,

There is no legal contract that forces you to stay in your nominated province.. Its more on a moral ground..

what you need to keep in mind...

1. you must land in your province for the first time when you enter Canada post PR confirmation.
2. You contact/mailing address should be within the province... you can have a friend/relative's address for that as well..

Once you land in Canada and the Immigration signs off on your COPR... you become a PR... then you are free to go about anywhere in the Country..

BUT ... Keep in mind that you eventually want to apply for citizenship and you should prove somehow that you intended to reside there but couldnt make it.. As far as i know from friends in canada,, this could draw serious issues once you apply for the citizenship..

So, what is safer to do (In my opinion, Is to reside in the province for a while, try to make a living, and IF couldnt manage then you can prove to whom ever checking your papers at any later stage that you never wanted to take advantage of the system..

After all its your call.. to do whatever you wanna do next!

HI Everyone,

I have been silently following this forum for a while now. It was great to have this here to know that i am not alone, especially after 5 months of silence on my application. I remained calm because of you guys, jealous sometimes even to see all the movement on other applications... And now, after anxiously checking since by background finally went into progress early March... I've been "rained on". Praise God :).

Hey Guys,

I have sent my passport for stamping. Now the next steps seem more worrisome to me :-\

I want to ask you all if there is a slight possibility of getting a job from outland and then later land in canada. The thought of just leaving everything behind without any security scares the SH*T out of me. I understand it depends on the type of jobs, but generally, is there a chance of getting an offer without landing?

I ordered GCMS notes on December 15 (received sometime in February) and my application was also assigned to VF03143 with a due date of January 9, 2016. Under Assessments, my medical is passed, criminality in progress, security and eligibility not started. I haven't ordered a second set of GCMS notes, yet.

I'm FSW Inland, although applying from abroad.

Well, I ordered them twice, once in December and the next time in January. Unfortunately both the times the notes were exactly the same. Everything except Medicals was "Not Started". Can you tell me the agent ID who had your file? Maybe we can find something in common? Mine was " Assigned to VF03143"

I did not even have a BGC started or any update of any sort.

Now, I have received the email to send in the passports. How can my husband send the passport when he is living there? Is there a workaround for this?? We have emailed for change in VO and the High Commission, but have not received a response. Guys, we want to send in the passports soon and get the PR...... Pls help

Please answer my questions.
