I am AoR Sep 3, and I also keep on thinking if I could have sent my application 2 week before.

So, it has passed more than 6 months for your case. Have you contacted CIC for further information as they said the maximum is 6 months? Thanks.

Yes. I have called CIC about 6-7 times and every time they give me the same rant. Your application is under review, and you will hear back from now until July. The only purposeful reply I received was from me emailing Ottawa. They responded that my application was awaiting internal processing (BGC) and as soon as they get the results, the application will be finalized.

Its same with everyone ... I think eligibility remains in review till COPR is issued
Background for many is in Progress for some not started

Yes in MyCIC eligibility stays in review till the end, our GCMS says eligibility met still in MyCIC it shows in review. Infact our RPRF clearly says that we have been found eligible in the class we applied for and to approve the application RPRF needs to be paid. It doesn't say to finalise the application, it says to approve, and we are still waiting for the decision 8)

Status changed to 'Updated' in myCIC today...Nevertheless, BGCheck and Eligibility is still in progress...Returned back to the home page and it says 'Submitted'.... AOR OCT 30....I won't be getting any ghost e-mails - applied via consultant...What do you guys think?

It's good news anyway. It shows they are working on your application. Your consultant probably has received the ghost email ...

IMO, the timing of submission doesn't really matter, but from what I've noticed, security checks seem to be the usual hold-up (as what legalfalcon says from what CIC told them), and it really varies from person to person.
That's why you see some people from December and January AOR already get PPR, their security checks were likely done exceptionally quickly.
