I just got additional document request cos my spouse passport is expiring this month. We have been given 7 days to send the new passport. However, he has applied for a new passport but we are not sure we will get it before the due date. Kindly advise what to do.

Please find below the request from CIC:
We have begun processing your application for permanent residence, and in order to make a decision we require the following information/documents:
Passport/Travel Document: Please provide a COPY of the Biographical page of new passport. The biographical page contains your name, photo, passport/travel document no., issue date and expiration date. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months.This must be received at this office by: 2016/03/14
Please note that the requested information/documents must be received within 7 days from the date of this correspondence. Please upload these documents to your MyCIC account.
If we do not receive the information/documents within 7 days, your application will be assessed based on the information we have on file, meaning your application could be refused as incomplete.

Medical Passed: 15th OCtober

Wow the time given is very short. Do you have any evidence to show that you have applied for the new passport even before their request? Maybe you should send that to them d hopefully they can be more linient with the time given.

Yes we do. We will wait till the deadline to see if we get the passport. If we don't get it, we will probably upload the evidence to show that we are waiting for the passport to be sent to us.

I got my gcms notes .... In the agent review notes ..... It says : Credential is not consistent with level of education claimed by PA under EE elegibilty . Credential reported to be bachelors degree ( four years) while PA has indicated three bachelors degrees .

Is this normal ???

I have 3 bachelor degrees , one done full time ( four years) and other two are done part time ... And got all of them assessed by wes .... Summary from wes indicates bachelors degree -4 years ...

Hii friendss, i need advice on some of the confusions in my mind. I received COPR stating destination city saskatoon, as i am a SINP candidate.
(a) does this mean that i have to land in the same city ?
Since you are a PNP candidate its advisable to land in the province which nominated you .... if you land in other province you may face some unwanted question in immigration which you should avoid while first landing ....(Be careful this could lead to a refusal on a bad day)

(b) also can i visit my sister in toronto, if i go for flight with 4-5 hrs stay in toronto, i mean would i be allowed to leave airport for some period of time, before flying next to my destination.

Once you finish the immigration formality then you are a permanent resident and you are allowed to go anywhere in canada ....

Do I need to pay it separately for each applicant or together?
If I pay them together, should I upload same receipt for both documents in my CIC account?

thank you so much for ur reply... When creating my express entry profile i did not apply for eca or did not get my degrees assessed.. so i input all my 3 dgrees ( indian ) .. and answered "no" to question which asks " did u have eca done for this degree " also i did not
claim any points for them because i already have lmia and my total points were 996. i got invitation on oct 2 2015 , and then i decided to get my credentials assessed and applied for WES and got the report on 20th oct 2015... So with the new information ie wes report number , i submitted my permanent residence application with same details as my profile with the addition of my wes report number where it asks under education section. Thats all. i did not do any mistake i suppose ?? But wen uploading documents
under education, i uploaded all certificates except report of ECA because it did nor ask specifically to upload the report. Later in Jan2016, i decided to send my ECA report through CSE and i sent it with explantion letter .This has been confirmed through the GCMS notes...

Also , from my notes , i observed that at the time of invitation , my CRS score is 996. But after i submitted the application , the agent or computer recalculated my score to 1026. i suppose this is due to the info added about my ECA at application submission?

Nw , is my current status ok ?? am i safe ? Under assessments , i can see

you can pay it together for all the applicant and then attach the receipt to MYCIC in the place they must have open for you .... Hope this help...

Bsandy, when you filled in your wes details while submitting the application, did you choose the same option on the CIC form as was mentioned in your WES evaluation or you entered what your actual degree was. For example if WES report said 3 years equivalent whereas supposed you had actually done 4 years course, what did you choose?

I missed the actual numbers you had mentioned in your original quote hence asking with examples.

Hi, I am Oct 09 AOR too, My cic login detail section shows updated yesterday but nothing changed in my background yet. My background still shows "Not started". May be they are working on our background check now. Lets hope for the best. I am CEC category, what about you ?
