Great news! PPR is near!johnny123 said:Background changed In progress 2nd time today
How you get your report depends on the services the RCMP uses to send the report. So they are the ones you need to contact regarding methods of delivery. If regular mail is all they allow, I don't think there's anything else you can do about that. If you believe your report has been lost then you need to get in touch with them to see how best to obtain a second copy. Good luck.sam_dawkins said:I got RCMP criminal record certificate request from CIC on 4 Jan, 2017. I did the fingerprint at Vancouver Police Dept on the same day and they said it is going to take 2 weeks to get the letter mailed to my address. 2 weeks ended today. I have contacted RCMP with my document number and they said that they have sent the document on 5 January, 2017. So, it has been 10 business days since it has been posted by RCMP at Ottawa. For national mail Canada Post says it takes 5 business days to reach it. CIC has given me two months to submit the document, so I will wait another week before doing it again. Does anyone know any faster and secure way inside Canada other than regular mail to get the RCMP criminal record check?
Yay for you! Fingers crossed.johnny123 said:Background changed In progress 2nd time today

I'll keep you all posted on my progress. Knowing that things could change anyday after this second "In Progress" is quite nerve-racking!
Are you an inland applicant? You will find some threads & post about the PR finalization interview with IRCC. Please, go through those which will help you to know the topics that will be discussed on this types of interview.s23srinivas said:I just got an email from CIC for an interview to finalize my PR at IRCC, Niagara Falls.
The email states:
I am pleased to advise you that the processing of your application for permanent residence will be finalized at an interview scheduled for:
Date and Time:XXXX
In order to be granted permanent residence, you must bring the following with you to the interview:
List of documents: XXXX
This is not the entire email but just the highlights I am interested in. Did anyone get such an email?
Is this going to be the final step to get the PR?
What are the chances of getting the PR rejected? If it is rejected what happens to the existing work permit? Will the permit be revoked or it expires naturally as per the original expiry date on it? Can the rejection be appealed? If yes, what will be the process for that?
Not being negative, but just curious and excited about the interview!!
Majority of people did put for BG start date a date when their background check went first time to In Progress.vickymichael said:Hi Guys, it looks in the sheet many of our OCTOBER's BG status changed to In progress today, but BG start date somewhere in November?. I'm guessing the change by andy108?
