I just happened to Order the GCMS Notes on March 29, 2016. And guys guess what!!!

Today our background check went into "In progress" from "Not Started" just now!!!

Praise God!!!

It is a positive movement!!! It will be exactly 5 months on April 3rd, 2015.

We'll get our GCMS notes on April 28th, 2016. Hope and pray that there will much more good news to share by then.

Yes it's a FSW outland application.

We ordered the GCMS notes through the CIC website. It costs about $5.

Are you in Canada?

I'll go with what legalfalcon said.. Maybe they picked out file probably.. But we may all get it soon.. We just need to be patient.. Hope the GCMS notes gives us some positive movement and results..

thats very true, any way our 6 month mark is not done yet, so the best way is to stay calm and wait and hopefully we will all get some good news this month

Really good to hear that people applying for GCMS notes are seeing some kind of status change finally!!

I have applied for GCMS on March 25th. Still nothing so far. I will complete 5 months of waiting on April 11th.

I had the same thing happen to me. MyCIC was updated, but no email or message. Within 24 hours you will have a ghost email mentioning that your application has been updated.

This is usually a sign of the PPR, so keep your fingers crossed and wishing you the best.

I sent my application on 12th Nov. 2015. (Got ITA in 17th draw) I haven't received any update from CIC yet. But a known who sent his file in December 2015 got passport submission Request.(He had provincial nomination)
Do they go serial wise? Is there anyone else like me, clueless and waiting?!!

You're definitely not alone! Several people from Nov still waiting. I applied very close to your date on Nov 11th and got AOR on the 12th. I'm still waiting now with no change whatsoever, not even background check has started.

Hi All,

I am planning to do my inland landing in cic office ottawa this tuesday 5th April. Apparently, from all the forum post i found that they offer walk in service twice a month on tuesdays( odd no. days like 5th april or 19th april for this month). So, I was wondering if anyone have done that before and what documents should I take other than my passport and COPR?

I think long weekend is the reason, they had March 25,26,27,28 off so thats why taking time. Don't worry you should have it by Monday.
And I am kind of worried , my spouse's Visa Office is not yet changed. I requested on March 18 after my PPR email ( and sent two more emails after that)

I am sure they approve my application next week, if not then i will get worried for sure.

You haven't received any email confirmation for change of visa office?
