I follow every thread from AOR in August to December and one thing common is "PNP/FSW outlanders are literally enjoying".

Agree. Cnt do anything but wait. Lets hope fr the best. I think i might go crazy by checking my phone evry hour for cic email

Bhadduki, CIO is Centralized Intake Office - primary office where your application for PR goes first for your backgroun check. CIO does not make any decisions. After your BG check is completed CIO sends app to secondary office (mine is Ottawa). Secondary office make the final decision. Though my notes say the file is in Ottawa now, my BG check is not completed yet so that's why I am a bit confused.
My notes were ready in 1.5 months

I think they forgot to update your application. Most likely the your bg check is complete.

Maybe or maybe not. All I know is that if your BG check goes in progress back from not needed- BG check is certainly completed and PR is ready to be issued. Since DEC 12 I had no update emails. We'll see.

CiC spoiled us!! Previously processing time was unknown like 1 year or 8 months or whatever now they have reduced to 6 months and we are restless. On 19 feb i will gonna complete 3 months and i have no hopes from
Them. I am even prepared to apply Bowp because my work permit is gonna expired on 5th may so guys relax and chill. Sept and october applicants are before us and yes some of us inland too

Dear All,
I don't think the computer system is working properly or is being updated properly. As my Background Check still says "In Progress" when they must have completed it to offer me PPR. Additionally, my Review of eligibility says "Review in Progress" with Final Decision being "Not Started". So I don't feel we can currently rely on the system to know exactly where our process has reached.

I think that's only the case if the secondary office is a local VO with a relatively light workload...I've noticed quick PPRs from Kingston, Singapore, New Delhi, Pretoria, Bucharest, Warsaw, etc.

I'm an outlander and I think my secondary office will be CPC-Ottawa because of Manila VO's workload.

bellaluna, I don't think all the application of certain VO are processed fast. I am FSW Outland applicant with New Delhi, India as my VO. I haven't heard a word from CIC since past 2 months, since my application went to BG in progress.

I see that your BG turned from not started to not needed at this time. It's the same for me. My AOR is on the 20th of november

can CIO be in ottawa?
I am from toronto area and i contacted ottawa for a case specific enquiry without even knowing whether they have my application or not as i just presumed that it shd be in ottawa as it is close.
And surprisingly they said they have my application. Does that mean that my application has cleared the CIO stage or is Ottawa my CIO?
Just curious to know

That happens sometimes, try a different browser. Chrome worked for me.
