Hi Everyone,

Did anyone trying calling cic after crossing 6 month mark?

I am November 3 AOR and today its 6 months for me. Should I contact call center now?

Also I got my GCMS notes, any pointers how to interpret them since there are 80 pages ?

Thanks in advance !

Most important are the Notes, which you can find at the last few pages. The first note is the most recent update.

Check instead if there is an entry under the "SECURITY" sub-header under the ADMISSIBILITIES main header, I believe that would indicate the date the security check was initially requested.
Hmmm, I do have a single entry under both "security" and "criminality", and it dates to Nov 29 and says "status: not started". Do you think that means they requested the checks on Nov 29? Or that they put me in a queue for the checks or something?

Well my friends, I wish you well in Canada. I'm now only 4 days away from my 6 month anniversary for my AOR and so far nothing, even with GCMS notes requested 4 weeks ago...I'm only 3 weeks away from having to make a critical career related decision here and without a PPR or some indication that the application has been accepted it appears as if Canada will not be happening.
Wow, it must be a nervous time for you. You should get your GCMS notes in a few days though, right? Maybe you'll have positive news then.

According to the GCMS discussion in the family class section and through their interpretation, "not started" in the GCMS notes does not mean so in the literal sense, and that does mean the security and background checks were started on that date.

This grey area is brutal. I know the feeling and wish you all the best. Hopefully you'll receive good news soon.

That's great, thanks! My BG check went to 'in progress' yesterday (after almost 4 months of no updates) so trying to get a feel of how long it might be before I get the elusive PPR email.

So there seems to be a beginning of a PPR rain here today and also started pouring in the October thread.

Today is my Official 6 months mark as the AOR date was November 3rd, 2015.

Hope there is some positive news by the end of this week to share with you all.

Wishing all the friends in this forum waiting for PPR that our prayers be answered soon!!!

thanks guys!!

it's been 14 years in Canada to get this damn PR!... lol I moved to Canada when I was 12 and just got the PPR lol
I applied through the old system so it's been a very long, emotional 2 years working towards this.

I really appreciate everyone's support!
I was going insane and this forum is the only thing that kept me going!

good luck to rest of you guys
