Sorry to hear that... Did they charge any misrepresentation ? If yes, than for how many years.

May I know the name of Officer or code of Officer who send you request for additional document.
I have also submitted additional document and want to know if the officer is same or some other.

There are no defined limits. Security checks might involve several third parties like FBI, Interpol, CSIS etc so the it is hard to determine how long it'll take. Generally, it doesn't take too long (applicants get PPR in 5/6 months) but unfortunately, there are cases that take much longer.

My application was submitted in may 2016. I called CIC, they informed me that security check is in place since august 2016. so, i don't know how long will i wait for, its disappointing

Hi Guys,
I called CIC last week on the Canadian number asking for an update. Not for the first time, they said they cannot share any information as my application is processed at NDVO. After that, I again applied for GCMS notes last week and hope to get it by March first week.

I am really disappointed with the lack of transparency. Its so cruel to let the applicants wait indefinitely.
Anyhow, my medicals expire on 22 Mar. Should I call CIC again asking for an extension or wait for them to contact me?
