thanks elmas. i was glad to have been able to help and learn things from members on this forum myself. i could have had my PR 4 years ago had I known things better and had the previous government not screwed over a lot of us international students. anyways, better late than never.

Just submitted my passport to the Canadian Visa Application Centre (CVAC) here in Dubai. they'll be sending it off to the Canadian embassy in Abu Dhabi. Any idea how long the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi takes to put on the PR sticker on your passport and return it? Any members here had any experience with this or heard of the time these guys take?
