Congrats.

That is ridiculous thing to ask or wait for before giving out PPR. Just approve the application and the let the applicant decided when they want to come. What if you said no? Will they not give you PPR?
It appears as if they are processing those applicants whose medical is expiring soon probably within the next two months?

No, they are not processing cases according to medicals. They asked if he could land before Dec. 28th because they wanted to issue visa, and if he could not land before that date, they would ask him to redo medical before they send PPR to him.
His case was simply ready to finalize. ;)

That's exactly it. They let me choose: rush now, or redo medicals.

Of course, redoing medicals would delay my process a bit longer. I couldn't bear to wait any longer - so I said I could make it.

Shilpa - Any updates? Also, have you written to them?

congrats to the 2 PPR recipient's. elmas, at least you know your file isn't forgotten in some corner; stay positive mate. any activity is good news.

i'm wondering if it would have been different if you're a solo applicant. would they ask you to do the landing before a certain time? as opposed to if you have famil, then they ask you to redo them? or is it more to do with inland vs outland? or your category? or are these parameters totally irrelevant?

Today I've got a reply to my CSE raised a week ago. Quite short and unwelcoming:

"Thank you for contacting Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

Please note that the processing times provided to you on our website are an approximation. Currently, your file is still in process and there is no maximum timeframe to finalize an application.

If further information is needed, the responsible office may contact you.

Please visit our Help Centre for more information.

Sincerely"

folks! I just received CSIS's answer to my inquiry about our security screening. The result was sent to CIC on November 18. Don't know how much I have to wait after this. BTW, my husband served mandatory military.

I believe each case is different, and depends on the office reviewing your application.

Ah ok. I thought you were in India. So basically I am the last India (NDVO) applicant from March.

Did you call the IRCC call centre. They should help you since your file is available to them.
In case you didn't get help from one operator call the next day and hope for someone helpful to give information.
