these are the reported reasons as of now that have been reported by members for being rejected in another thread on this forum. you'll notice that most of these relate to eligibility, nothing there to suggest any rejections were done based on bg checks.

1. Job not specified as full time and permanent employment
2. Failure to upload ECA (even though it does not ask for it on the upload page)
3. Passport scan missing or incomplete.
4. Missing Proof of Education.
5. Missing original PCC.
6. Incorrect NOC
7. Duties Mismatch
8. Submitting PCCs with specific addresses mentioned
9. Not providing "certified true" transcripts for Canadian degree/diploma
10. POF less than LICO

at this point, the only thing that can get you rejected is something drastic popping up in your background check which ends up making you a risk to Canada. so, no - not really; i don't really think about that. if your's is a straight forward case and you are a regular applicant like any other, we should be fine. it's just a waiting game.

I completely agree with you. It's just a matter of time before we get PPR.

Rejection happen before 6 mons right?

there is no written rule when rejections happen but if they are to reject you based on eligibility it would be within the first 6 months i would assume when they are determining your eligibility.

What does point number 8 Submitting PCCs with specific addresses mentioned actually depicts?

your PCC should cover the time period after the age of 18 whereever you have lived for more than 6 months. Often is certain countries PCC's, the address where you stayed is mentioned. say if you lived in country A for 8 years and had 3 different addresses, but your police certificates only refers to two of those, it doesn't cover your 8 years.

At this stage can we take any help from a solicitor etc. Or will a solicitor be able to help in progressing our case? If its possible would someone be able to recommend anyone? Thanks

there is nothing a solicitor can do to expedite the processing of your case.
