And yours too! Do you know of any instances where they asked outlanders whether they can land before a certain date or where the medicals were extended? Also, do you know whether local agencies are reminded about cic's questions or do we depend on how quick those agencies reply cic's queries?

Hello elmas! Sorry for the late answer. Yes there are some applicants, with their file ready for visa, who have been asked to either land before a certain time or redo medicals. But Ottawa's approach to expiring medical is different from LVOs. Ottawa re-assesses medicals and passes them again, but LVOs ask for medical redo just before it expires.

Moving to the next point, CSIS (which is a third party conducting security checks upon CIC's request) depends on local agencies too. This means that they inquire local agencies of one's home country and every country that they have traveled to. Some agencies are slow and cause delay in security check process.

cheers :)

No news today :(

Thought atleast a few more might be knocked off that list!

Ottawa isn't up yet. Let's keep hope alive! ;)

Let's hope local VOs will follow Ottawa's lead today, and they will all issue lots of PPRs to make this Tuesday a very rainy day for March AORs. :P

The link gives a very good insight into Ottawa's strategy in case medicals are due to expire. ;)

Thanks for the link! It seems they might re-assess , if your security is complete and medicals are the only criteria holding you from your ppr. In my case, for example, it went from passed to ip, to nn and then to ip again. Yours went straight to nn. If our medicals are reassed and go back to passed, it might mean we'll have to wait some more, until other elements are cleared out. I'd much rather have them ask us when we can land though.

First of all, congratulations.

Secondly, you have to let CIC know of the change in your marital status immediately, before submitting your documents.

Hello Elmas,

Thank you for the reply, I have emailed them and got an automated email stating that we will reply back with in 20 working days.

Should I have to wait for their reply, or can I send in the passport.

Thanks you

You might get a faster reply if you raise a CSE or maybe you can just call.
