Do you remember the number CIC called from? I missed a call yesterday and I'm wondering if that was my verification call from CIC.

Most of the recent movements in CIC was about inlanders, but what about fsw outlands.....? :(

a few applications from Jan and Feb AOR FSWO received PPR's

I am almost there as well. On the 29th month 8 ends for me. Not even GB check is "in progress" yet.

I have also completed 8 months on 16th nov. Bg in progress since oct 25th..

Completed 8 months today post AOR. BG in progress since 22 Oct. Medical expiring on 16 Mar :(

the way i look at it is it can go one of two ways at this point:

1. IRCC reaches out to you asking if you can land before a certain date when your medicals are expiring.
2. IRCC extends our medicals validity date and/or requests you to retake the medicals.

the first i'm assuming will only happen if your BG check has cleared and you're in the green. the second will happen if your BG check results still haven't come in fully. keep in mind, this is no just the RCMP results we are talking about here; this is all agencies: FBI, Interpol, local agencies etc. i honestly feel a lot of these delays end up being due to th processing times taken by local law enforcement agencies, since that is not in IRCC's control.

either way, at this point it is highly unlikely to be rejected based on eligibility at least. let's hope this week continues to see some movement in the backlog in the Ottawa office

An interesting VLOG from a Regina,SK guy:

Do you know whether local agencies are reminded about the enquiries by cic from time to time or whether the questions are posed and cic waits for the reply?

i was thinking the same thing earlier as well. unfortunately, there is no way of knowing that. your guess is as good as mine at this point, which is: i don't know. there has to be some sort of a system in place by which they keep track but as to how diligently they do it...well, we're all in months 8-9 so that should answer it for you

Mubzali, I guess it's mostly inland applicants who are asked whether they can before a certain date or whose medicals are extended. Do you know of any instances where either of these happened to outland applications as well?

hard to say; i haven't had the time to analyse this piece of information, it's been busy at work lately. i'm just happy there is activity in the Ottawa office. even if they haven't asked any outlanders about medicals extensions or landings, some of them have received PPR's. let's put it this way, either we will hear something in the next 2-3 weeks or then itns next year in 2017. Forget getting anything in Dec - government department don't work in December lol

i think i'll finally order my GCMS notes if i don't hear anything in the next 2 days, my 8 month mark. any idea on how long the turnaround time is for those bad boys?
