Yeah! I've seen them. You'd better take a look at "Those who Waiting EXPRESS ENTRY in Six Months and not finalized!!!!" thread on this forum too. There are still applicants who have been waiting since Aug 2015.

I said here before that reading this thread for a while really drove me crazy. I've sent CSIS a fax to inquire about my security check. I will share the experience as soon as I hear from them. But I hope I get PPR soon.

I did contacted CSIS By fax at the end of September and they have told me that they have finished their background check and sent it back to the visa office, but the visa office told us that they are still waiting for background check and in the meanwhile we are waiting for the third GCMS report, I hope your case is better than ours.

Thank you so much for the information. You're right. I know many people with CSIS's letter at hand, but they have not heard from CIC yet. But when you have CSIS's response, at least you know that they are done with your security check and now it's CIC itself that is causing the delay.

BTW, I understand you are an outlander. I'm an outland applicant too, I faxed a request letter including all the details they ask for on their website. For the "Return Mailing Address" I just included my friend's address in Canada to receive the reply. I did not fill out and attach the consent form. Does this sound about right?

I found the information below on CSIS's website. I just sent a fax inquiring if they are done with my security check? The service is free and they send their answer in a letter to the Canadian Return Mailing Address you include in your letter.


How can I find out about the status of my immigration screening file?

For general information on immigration/ citizenship/ refugee/ visa-related issues, contact Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) at 1-888-242-2100 or website www.cic.gc.ca.

To enquire about the status of a government clearance or an immigration screening file, the following information is required*:

a full name,
date and place of birth,
the signature of the applicant, and
a return mailing address as replies are not sent by email or fax.
