there are way too many people with the Ottawa VO in the March AOR group still waiting. 24 to be precise, 18 of whom are in the FSW category. I keep wondering if there is a correlation...

Don't worry! Guess it means you do not need to redo the medical.

Mine is valid until Feb. 7th, and they've just started to re-assess Feb. medicals. My friend's medical that is going to expire on Feb. 2th has been just changed to not needed. So I think mine will be changed to NN next week.

It didn't go back to passed yet.

On top of that, although sounding like a pessimist is the last thing I want right now, I know that my bg isn't complete yet, which means I might have another month (or maybe even more) to go because it generally takes a while for the final decision to be made after the bg is complete. And I know it isn't complete yet. So who knows, maybe we're looking at another month or two. Sigh.

Ottawa VO and the time they take to process the applications; and yes i know people will say it depends on how long the BG check takes at times etc. etc. but 24/37 applicants waiting from Ottawa...seems like they are slow for some reason in Ottawa with the FSW category

i'm into the 8th month myself so i hear you. if anything, knowing that you're not the only one from the Ottawa office waiting should be heartening. still frustrating though.

Sent my reply thru mycic- November 7 and I Emailed CPC Ottawa in November 8 as well
PPR - November 9

Following from dbc's post, I wonder what will happen to outland applications when medicals were probably not extended even for an inland applicant such as dbc. What I mean is, we all thought medicals got extended for inlanders. Now we know they probably weren't for dbc, because if they were, he wouldn't be asked if he can land until February 1. The conclusion I draw here is our medicals might not get extended and since or bg checks are probably not complete, I don't know what to think.

if they don't plan to extend your medicals, stay positive - maybe that means you'll get a similar email asking if you can land before a certain date.
