A quick question...I have my friend who is also an April AOR, she recently got a Govt Job which she has joined few days back....Is it necessary for her to inform cic bout her new govt job or is it okay if she doesnt do that and just leave this job if and when she gets her PPR??...Plz help...she is really worried!!

P.S She was not employed at the time she applied for PR but had prev work exp on the basis of which she had applied.

No need to inform....as it was not mentioned in the application nor have you claimed points for it. Her pr application will be judged irrespective of this. So she's ok.

Thanx for the reply. Its just that since cic has asked the applicants to inform them about any change in their job status while their app is still in process that was making her lil nervy. She showed her status as an unemployed at the time she applied for PR.

Best is to raise a CSE/ Email with Urgent in Subject and tell them about your spouse overseas and request for change of VO for her. Visiting VFS won't be of any help.
As per request, They will issue a fresh letter (30days validity) for her and she can submit passport, photo, letter in nearest VFS.

Anyone in a situation where Principal applicant is in Canada and spouse is living overseas.

What is the fastest way to send spouse's passport to Canada High Commision in your home country?

Just go and talk to VFS in your home country or send an email to CIC?

Just another non-PNP March'16 AOR application here.

Currently based out of Chennai, India.

I received my AOR on 12th March 2016 so gonna complete my 6 months tomorrow, and still no change in the profile. Except for medicals' clearance, the eligibility is still being evaluated. Fingers crossed that it moves to the next step i.e. background check soon.

Its frustrating not to find any updates on your profile, but thanks to this forum and especially, this thread which keep motivating you.

Hi guys! emergency situation...
I got PPR on Thursday and send my passport with photos yesterday, BUT I forgot to write my name and date of birth!! :'( (the stamp from photostudio is present).
If anyone get rejected at this stage because of the photos??

Dont worry, most likely they will send photos back and ask to be signed or will ask for new ones.

It will just take just a little bit longer to process.

That's if she has an lmia supported job offer / has claimed points for it.
