Hi guys,

I just submitted my passport today after I the PPR Email. I intend to travel to India for a short vacation...

I think it would take 3-4 weeks to get the Passport back after stamping.

How long would it take to get PR card after doing the border crossing. 41 days as per CIC website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/index.asp
What is the shortest way to do landing in Edmonton. Some of my friends drove to Waterton Lake and did border crossing. My friend did at Coutts. Try looking it up
Would it be possible to travel to India before getting the PR Card. Yes, you can. However, without a PR card, you will need to apply for a Travel Document to re-enter Canada

Please let me know

Thanks for all your support and wish everyone good luck with the application. Most applications are processed within 180 days..

Congratulations to all of you who received their PPR and all the best for those who are waiting...I am sure everyone will get PPRs by end of this month.

My family members are all over North america so just filed extension of 1 month to submit the passports....planning to land in March next year...hope to see some of you in Toronto... :)

Congratz to all who received PPR, after receiving PPR it's not over. I think we should create a group like March Aor 2016 post PPR so that everybody can share there experiences like landing, housing, job search etc.,

What say guys???

Congratulations to everyone who received their PPRs today :)

Received the golden email, late yesterday!!!! Can't believe the wait is over, at last, the longest 6 months. Was running out of time as my start date for my job is the 3rd Oct. My VO is London, anyone know the process time there for stamping etc?

I would like to thank everyone on this forum, it has been very helpful to speak to and listen to others in the same situation as myself.

Good luck to everyone on here PPR or not (it will come), enjoy Canada it's an amazing country!.

So, to everyone who has received a PPR recently- did you get it over email or MyCIC? Or both?
Also, what was your VO?

I am also in the same boat but not sure if VO is NDVO or Ottawa..

Hi everyone,

Congratulations to all those who have received PPRs in the last 1-2 days and best wishes to those who are waiting for the same. Believe me, it's just a matter of time, some days before or later, everyone is going to get it! :)

My wife and I,submitted our Passports for stamping at the local VFS office in Mumbai. We were told the normal time for doing this work is 10 working days, but it may differ as per the situation.

Well, I find that there has been no update in CIC site after the PPR was received by us. Is that the case wit everyone?

Also, we intend to make a short landing for 10-12 days at Toronto, sometime during end Oct to beginning of Nov this year. If we book return flight tickets, will that create any problem at the landing airport? For returning to India, do we need to request for Travel Documents to the immigration deptt?

Regards,
Sourav

This table shows the FSW outland applicants with BG in progress from March spreadsheet. I hope most of us who are around 30days since BG in progress get a PPR today.
