I got my third GCMS note today, it looks exactly like the first and second one! Eligibility is Met, Criminality is Passed and Security is not started!
Do you guys know if they do security checks for every applicant?
I was really hoping to get my PPR in the last week of August because that's when I hit 5.5 months, but if they haven't started the security check it might be longer! :(

My work permit is expiring on Sept 7th. Do I need to apply for BOWP now? Also my wife's open work permit is expiring on August 25th. Do I need to apply for visa extension for her? I am CEC inland candidate and AOR on March 7th. Please revert.

I think we can realistically expect PR at around that time. But we can't be 100% sure.
So it's better to apply for the extensions in both your wife & your cases.

Thanks for reply. Do I need apply now or need to wait for 3 weeks? Will it affect my PR application?

Please apply right now and don't wait till the end. I believe it takes 2-4 weeks for the work permits to get renewed and come back to you.
However, if by that time you receive your PPR, then send your PP and land with your PR visa (that invalidates your work permit - if any - as you wouldn't need it anymore)

I am only 40 days from completing the six month duration, since my AoR was on the 1st of March, and my BG status is still 'not needed at this time'!! That's worrying!!

It is safe to apply for one, CIC are committed in processing within 6 months , your situation maybe touch and go! Safe to apply and relax until PPR!
