Hi guys

I got PPR yesterday! Below are my timeline. I was not expecting to get it so fast. I’ve traveled a lot and live in 4 different countries. In addition, I was not able to submit the FBI PCC together with my application and got an extension for submitting it later. So I cannot complain!

Good luck to everybody! I am sure that you all will get your PRs very soon. All the best!

PNP (Outland)
AOR: 23/03/2016

Background check: Not started (I have no idea when it changed because I am using an consultant and I have no access to the account)

hi did u receive any verification call or RPRF request so far or schedule A.....what does ur gcms notes say.
Didn't receive any verification call. Actually, my line is not always active as I keep traveling in and out of the country for work. But, I gave them alternate number last month. I paid all the fees upfront. GCMS (as at 12 May) say that Eligibility Met on 25 March. R10 and A11.2 Met. There was a mention of 16(1)(c) in the email. And, I didn't see any notes on 11.2. For criminality, they kept it as Not Started and mentioned that it will be passed once FBI PCC is submitted (I did that on 2 May). Security is Not Started. Everything was done with first 2-3 days from AOR and file was transferred to CPC Ottawa on 30 March. No updates whatsoever after that.
Also, I wrote to CPC Ottawa yesterday, and they mentioned that the file is still at their office.

Hi guys,
I uploaded a letter of explanation a week ago requesting an extension for my FBI PCC submission, since even though it had been mailed out to me, I have not yet received it. It has been a week, and I have not heard anything from CIC yet, and MyCIC still shows the status of the document as 'Provided.'
Is this something I need to be worried about? How long on average do they take to respond? I don't think they have ever taken this long to respond to LORs/requests for extensions before.

Usually CIC takes about 2 weeks to respond to CSEs , if you don't hear anything next week they surely need a follow up..

The weekend of July 1st was a long weekend (Canada Day). Should probably explain the slower-than-normal service?

Hi guys,

I have seen many cases (in this thread) of applicants being asked to submit the US FBI PCC... May I ask, did you at any time stay in the US for 6 months or more??

I am asking because I have travelled more than 100+ times to the US (most times on business), but I have never stayed for more than 1 month. I would hate to be asked to provide US FBI. Do you think they will ask me to provide a US FBI PCC?

If you have spent a cumulative of 6 months or more in a country then yes, you need to submit a PCC from that country.

OMG, it doesn't look good for me... They will definitely ask me to provide one... this will definitely derail my application.. I heard it takes long to get a US FBI PCC..

Thanks! This was not a CSE, however, this was an upload I made in a field that had been created for me to upload my FBI PCC. Should it still take 2 weeks?

I suppose that is true. It is still five working days, however, which is why I am beginning to freak out haha.

Got my Passport and Copr back today :P
