I just talked to CIC and was told that the BG checks have not been completed. I was also told that the file is "probably" processed in Ottawa. My BG went into progress on July 26. What's taking so long?

congrats to everyone who got their PPR today!

I'm also AOR Mar 4, but FSW Inland. I called this morning and was also told that the background check wasn't completed yet for one of us (me and my spouse), though everything else was passed (eligibility, security, medical). So I guess the wait continues... she said to call back in a couple of weeks if I still hadn't heard, but she couldn't tell how much longer it was going to be.

i was told that everything looks ok and will hear from them soon, i will call them again tomorrow, i advice to cal again maybe different agent can give u some more info

This is the number if you're in Canada: 1-888-242-2100

Press 1 for English, then 7 to go to Express Entry option. wait for the woman to finish talking nonsense and then press 0. another woman will say "the center for members of Parliament is now closed blah blah". don't hang up, after that short speech of hers it'll direct to to an agent.

The lady did not tell me anything like that. She just repeated what I can already see and confirmed that she can only tell what I can see myself (truth or not?), which is that my background is in progress. Nothing else. She did not even tell me if the background check is complete for my wife and son. I was hoping for a little more information or at least that there is nothing to be concerned about...

I hope we all get is soon.

Not sure about others but yes I have my spouse and son accompanying me.

My country of origin is Pakistan but I am based in UK and I have seen people with similar location profile getting PPR even before today's batch.
