There have already been PNP Outlanders with AORs later than yours who received PPR, I believe.

You definitely can raise a CSE to explain the situation. Better to write a short message and clarify things than to wait and get unwanted results from CIC. What do you think?

After all we've all worked hard amd it doesn't hurt to work a little bit more, don't you think?

All the best.
Hello Elmas
Yes u r right, I m submitting CSE to be on safer side
Thanks

Have fun and enjoy your weekend ;D

Just got information letter from CIC.
Letter was in regards to my passport which is expiring after one year.

They want me to submit soft copy of new passport.

I thought 6 month is the rule.

Its been a month and half since BG in progress, no update at all tho. Very hard to predict the average.

For most cases it is taking 30 days. Yours might be an exception.

Interesting. When I applied, my passport was basically at a year of validity left, and CIC never told me to submit a new one. I did go ahead and get a new one made anyway, because I'd have needed to, and I sent them a copy via CSE- but I find it interesting how you got a request for a new one with a year of validity left when I did not with less than that.
I wonder if it has something to do with specific VOs.

What is even more interesting is that normally the VISA stamped after PPR has expiry date equal to your medicals or passport, whichever comes first.

But, I do believe all medicals expire within a year. If we take into account 6 months of processing PPRs, it should only require a six month passport validity, as there will be only six months of medicals validity left anyway...

Yeah, I don't understand the lack of consistency in this process sometimes haha.

I am actually nearing almost one year since my medicals (I had mine in Jan 2016), so I am beginning to get antsy here. There were delays on my application because of the FBI PCC taking forever to get to me, but I'm still reaching the six month mark since my AOR, with no active or visible movement on my profile since March (unless we count responses to CSEs as movement), so I am freaking out haha.

Have you ordered your GCMS notes?

I am sure everything will be fine!

I just signed the form and sent it to a friend in Canada today, haven't yet followed up with him on if he submitted it (don't want to get too pushy about it after all lol).
But yes, I hope so too- I just hope it's all okay sooner rather than later, for all of us :)
