How come some PNP folks with AOR in March already had their PPRs?

Are FSW Outland applications processed the slowest? :-\

PNP are the fastest. FSW is the slowest, however, it depends on the VO too.

I still don't know whether the VO does some of the processing, like the BGC, or just does the stamping after the whole processing is done in Canada by CIC.

Just a quick correction: In January there were three rounds of invitation: 1518 ITAs, 1463 ITAs and 1,468 ITAs. Total: 4449 ITAs to be processed for January people.

Right about February, close to 3k ITAs. March has pretty much half of ITAs, comparing to January: 2027.

So, we should expect faster processing for March people. Hopefully!

Plenty of Feb folks reporting PPR in the last few days. Many of them are just on the border of the six month mark. You can expect PPR on Sept 2nd or Sept 5th per that trend.

My BG has also never been updated. Still "not started". But my guess is that this is not a reliable indicator anymore. Some guys have been on the BG in progress for a month, for some it is only a few days till PPR, and for some it is barely a few hours before the golden email. Good Luck! Hope the March AOR folks start getting final positive results very soon. My guess is from next week onwards.

Keep in mind, people apply for PR almost after 15, 30 or 45 days after getting an ITA.

But since we have no statistics on this, the number of AOR is a more solid number, and what we can do to especulate is to treat ITAs from January as AORs in February, so we have a month of distortion - treating a cycle as 7 months (ITA in January, cycle of January ends in August, ITAs In February Cycle ends in September, ITAs in March, ends in october).

From october on, people behind us should have a better life.

Seems reasonable.

You can be the bellwether for the bulk of March AOR folks. Since my AOR is 21st mar, I have to be a bit more patient. I hope you get PPR on/before Aug 31-Sep 1 It does seem that CIC is not following 180 day rule, but instead going by six calendar months

Yes,,,they are following the 6 month rule! Im expecting to get it on the days you've mentioned, and I also hope that it only marks the start of a ppr flood!!

No clue of PPR...!, I applied for my wife open work permit extension yesterday. Yeshe, We were late to apply for extension, since her permit will get expired on September 11.
ANY idea how long it will take to know permit extension decision? Comments appreciated....

As per CIC, WP extension online is taking 41 days, but new WP takes 10 weeks. It is hard to tell on with category they put us when we move from PWGP to bridge WP or Spouse Sponsored WP. Is that a new WP or it is an Extension? We will never know what they think, but my experience switching from WPs it takes more than a WP extension and less then a new WP.

Anyway, don't worry. If your wife's WP expire before she gets the new one, she can continue working in a implied status until CIC make a decision regarding her application.

She applied for extension for open work permit online. Option to select on online imm5710e was confusing. She had to "initial work permit or extension with new employer" because all other option was not near suitable.

Does ECAS page works for you guys? I have never been able to find my application there and by reading the forums I found out that this system is not been used by CIC or updated.

How this ECAS works and what kind of information you can get there?
