Hi everyone.
How long after the BG goes into in progress for the second time should I expect a PPR?

BG - in progress on July 26
BG - not needed on August 19 (24 days later)
BG - in progress on August 20 (1 day later)

Can I expect it this week? I'm a FSW outland applicant with AOR on March 4.
The expected time frame is around 28 days. 3 to 4 weeks.
But don't take this as a hard and fast deadline. This isn't an official timeframe.

What's your VO?

3 to 4 weeks after the second BG in progress? I thought that was the two BG checks in total!

Ankara VO I guess.

It's generally after the second background check.
In my case, the background check turned into progress immediately after my AOR. Then it turned to not needed in a days time.
The second time it was in progress was on 29 July .

There's just no fixed timeframe. It's only a precedent that makes us say it takes around 3-4 weeks. Infact most of the fsw outland ( I assume youve applied under that category) candidates don't have their bg in progress twice. It only happens once .
But what I can say is this - you can expect a ppr soon! All the best.

Your AOR s in April rite..?
What's your VO..?
What about background check status?
Right. April 21 AoR. Don't know my VO yet, getting GCMS notes soon in few days...background status is not needed since April. I could not track the first BG in progress if it happened in few days post AoR.....

Can anyone please share what all needs to be submitted along with the passport after ppr? How many photographs and what are the specifications?? Anything else they ask for specifically?

1. Passport(s) OR photocopy(ies) of passport(s),

2. Two (2) photos of yourself and of each accompanying family member. See our specifications at

3. One self-addressed, pre-paid envelope with your complete mailing address so that we can return your passport(s) and Confirmation of Permanent Residence documents. Please see details in step 4.

4. One copy of PPR letter.

Spreadsheet updated till this point in thread. Please share your updates in the thread and they will be updated in the spreadsheet :)

My Visa office is also NDVO. Completed more than 5 months and background status is still not needed at this time. Can anyone tell when NDVO will start raining PPR? I think most of feb applicants have completed 6 months with no sign of PPR yet.

September 1st or 2nd week i guess. They seem to be very busy with student visa applications.

changes from case to case.
some cases, its only once that it changes from not needed to in progress.
in my case, it went in progress early on, immediately after AOR. then went into not needed for 6 months.
the second time was 20 days ago
