Haha! I know. I'm lowering my expectations to maintain my sanity! ;)

I was being asked for Household Register document last week. Not sure they will continue to review my application before the deadline been given (19 July is the deadline for me to upload the additional doc., but I did immediately).

You could have possibly selected 'Express Entry' while ordering the GCMS notes.

Just reply to the same e-mail stating you want the electronic notes of the Permanent Residence file.

I had done the same too.

Just restate what your queries are by simply replaying the email, and you will receive your GCMS Notes in 2 weeks. I just got mine not long ago.

Best of luck.

Hi DevGurgaon and M.Mostafa

Please update my information:

12-Jul-2016: BGC changed from 'Not Started' to 'In Progress'
Medicals passed
RCMP record check requested

I am confused about RCMP record check. I am currently in Canada (on visitor status) since February 2016 and haven't yet crossed the 6 months mark.

Thank you very much for the response. +1 for you.

Was there any reason that you can think of why they contacted your previous employer and not the current one? And was your reference letter all according to the requirements?
I am just trying to see if there is a pattern, to whom does CIC call and does verification? is it random, or for specific reasons?

Thank you

not sure. my current job is in Canada. My previous job was in hong kong and the officer talked in Cantonese not English.

Hello all

Could someone please help me with RCMP criminal record check process?

I called the local RCMP district office and they confirmed they can do electronic fingerprints.

Once I get it done,

- do I have to wait for the RCMP record check to be mailed back before I upload it to CIC?
- Or will I get a confirmation/receipt from the RCMP district office once the fingerprints are done, which I should then upload to CIC?

Also, is it better to do it directly through RCMP district office or should I go to one of the accredited third party vendors? Will it be processed faster through an accredited vendor?

Thank you

I assume that the reason is to verify the genuineness of the foreign experience provided because both my current and 2 previous employers in Beijing have been contacted via email and phone calls. As a result, my work experiences have been verified as GENUINE on the GCMS notes i received last week. Hope this clarifies your concerns.
