AOR in July, 2015...Guys lets get togeather!!

CIC came out with some numbers ,

I did some number crunching !
let see this is before July ,

Application Received : 7,528
Applications in Progress : 5,835

that leave a staggering : 77.5 % of application before us (july) still needs to be processed

That makes Total

application processed : 1693
approved applications : 655

meaning 61 % of the applications where rejected !!

that is in 6 months just 8% of the total received applications were approved !!

which amounts to just over a 100 application approval per month for last 6 months!!

Based on these numbers,
I am thinking most of us might need to wait the whole 6 months before we hear anything at best !

from reading other threads in the forum, I'd say 3 months average if everything goes smoothly, but no guarantee as some people wait 4-5 months for theirs. 2 months if you are super lucky i guess

Gosh that's a long wait indeed... From seeing other successful applications, I guess it takes around 4 months an average for a BG check to be completed successfully.

i know one case on this forum... in which that member submitted document in 1st week of may and got ppr request in 1st week of june.... ans she got her passport back in 10 days and flagpole and evrything done within 1 and half month..... that is real luck and damn quick.....

I haven't got any emails or "ghost" emails either. But going into mycic and i see "updated" in place of "submitted", but nothing really changed. Twice in the last 2 days. Frustrating!!

i had the same experience yesterday, and after some time, my medical got passed.

and when i am expecting to get a reply or update, i check more often...

I got my medical exam passed today, but background check not started. Shouldn't BG check starts in the same day as in most ppl's cases?

Same as mine. looking at the spreadsheet, most people who had their BG check in progress had it at the same day as they had their medicals passed.

btw I had my medical passed today. would anyone who can edit be kind enough to update the sheet? thanks.

BG In Process happens on same day as medical pass for inland applicants. I think with this CIC initiates Canadian criminal verification check.

I see that you are outlander...probably that is the reason you do not see BG In process.

So that's why. Thanks for the info. i see that most out-landers have their ECAS app received before having a BG check.
