Actually for most of the people, they got PPR within 3 to 4 days of their BG change. But few like me, Sharma786, sagarvadordaria, kashjuni and vishalg with extensive travel history, the wait is almost 15 days to a month now.. I hope it gets over for us this week...
Dont worry im in the queue too. I got my IP2 bg check on 7 June, but looking at the scenario now, it seems its not on the travel history as I have just one NZ travel no more, but still they r taking time. So now its common to wait for another month after IP2.

It will move to the final review. As soon as the Visa officer opens your file, your BG will move to IP2.
Best of luck
Thank you...i hope it will not take time

I anticipate you all would get PPR either tomorrow or on Friday

Yeah, exactly. I don't have much travel history either, but it's been 20 days since my BG became IP.

Amen to all the good wishes.. As I said, if this happens tomorrow or friday then I am still very happy. Just don't want the wait to be dragged for months and months...

Dear All,

We are pleased to announce that following the submission of our passports on May 31 (the day it was officially received) to Accra VO, our application has been approved! Thank God!

Quick question to all here:
There is a Document Status section in myCIC dashboard, it only shows my husband and my passport as having a "counterfoil" and "counterfoil number". We are both Nigerian. Our 3 year old son who is part of our application is a US citizen with a US passport. He is listed under the Application Summary as a dependent, but not under the Document Status section. Has he not been given a visa because he is a US citizen? Or because he is a minor?

Thank you all, and I wish everyone waiting for PPR a speedy approval process.

God bless you all!

Really was that happening 1-2 months for PPR after BG update...? I wish it should not happen with us as express entry is supposed to be faster than earlier systems though the wait seems to be denying the assumptions
Im talking about express entry only. Last year till Dec 2016, the process used to be something like this,
-15 days for medical passed
-Next 2-3 months for the bg check which would turn to in progress from not needed
-Another 1-2 months from BG in progress to PPR.
(Total 4.5 - 5 months approx)

From 31st Jan 2017, the process was going something like this:
-15-1 month for medicals to get passed
-BG - Not needed to Not Applicable or We are processing your background check, next step is background check. This is known as IP1 and remains like this until it does not change to IP2.
Approx time of BG from IP1 to IP2 was coming to be 3.5 - 4.5 months
-2-15 days from BG IP2 to PPR.
(Total time 4.5-5 months approx)

But now suddenly in May looking at the scenario of BG2 to PPR its like again stable, and mostly people are still in queue even after more than 15-20 days, so I am just thinking that they are again coming to the old process of BG IP 2 to PPR of taking time of 1-2 months.

Lets hope they process the application within 6 months time.

Guys , Can some respond to this please!!

Do I need to inform CIC for the change of address for my dependent wife or can i inform once i get the PPR request so that her passports can be sent to the Canadian consulate in India? She is out of Canada for the next 6 months where as i am (primary applicant) still in Canada..

Dear all:

I received AOR bacj in Jan 11, 2017. Now it has been 150 days and I have been stuck on background check for more than 4 months. Is that normal?

First time when it changes its ip1, now it will change again that's ip2, after that you will get PER in 10 dayd
My BG status changes again today from "NA" to "in Progress" again. I guess this should be the ip2 everyone been talking about.

Anyway, Here is my timeline just to give everyone a timetable to share.

PNP-Inland (British Columbia)
AOR - Jan 2nd, 2017.
Medical Passed - March 13th, 2017
First BG Change - March 22nd, 2017 (From "NA" to "in Progress")
Second BG Change - June 8th, 2017 (From "in Progress" to "NA")
Third BG Change - June 12th, 2017 (From "NA" to "in Progress")

Best of luck to us all.
