I am FSW Inland AOR Jan 05 received rcmp request on Apr 05.
I think there is a pattern here which is a good news..

May I know the deadline for your request. They said I have 60 days to submit it, which is strange, as it is usually 7 days.

It's required ì you live in Canada for more than 6 mths

Basically, we don't need to submit RCMP unless or otherwise CIC officer ask you to do so. However, during your BG process they may ask you submit in case anything is not clear with regards to your criminal records. In general, many PR applicants proactively submit that along with EAPR to avoid any potential delays to their application process. If you are in middle of the process, I would suggest you to wait until their further advice. They will give you 60 days time to submit this report.

Just FYI , I have given an extract of CIC site which talks about the same thing.

Hope it helps you :)

Hello friends,
I recieved my ITA on April 13th and I have a job related query.
I had quit my job four months ago, but I have four years of work experience. Is it mandatory to
notify in express entry profile that I had quit my job? Will not specifying result in misrepresentation?
And if I specify it now i.e, after recieving ITA in my express entry profile, will it still be considered as misrepresentation?

They gave me 60 days as well. 7 days duration is for your personal documents like IELTS, work related that one doesn't have to arrange from outside. RCMP processing takes a week minimum once someone applies.

Thanks g126, but we inlanders are still 2 months away from decision unless a miracle happens :)

Not two months bro. Once your BG changes from IP to NA, it should not take more than 30 days max. My BG changed to IP 2 three days back. next step is PPR. I am AOR Jan11th

I believe if you hv PR card then he cannot do anything. He cant stop you because u r now permanent resident. However to maintain your PR status, you hv to stay 2 years minimum in 5 years period in canada
