My status just changed from
Background check: Your application is in progress. The next step is to conduct a background check.

To:
Background check: Not applicable.

What does that mean? ???

Just means your file is moving forward

You can expect PPR anytime soon

Hope for the best

Just ordered my GCMS notes. The website says it takes a month to receive the report. Does anyone know how long it actually take these days?

My medical passed and BG changed to IP on Feb 22, no more update since. Kinda getting worried.. :(

My timeline is exactly same as yours and I've not heard anything either since Feb 22nd when my medicals passed and BG went to 'in progress'
I'm sure it's nothing to worry about - there's been lots of movement for CEC Inland files from January so I'm sure we will get some soon! ;D

CEC Inland
AoR Jan 22nd
Medicals passed Feb 22nd
BG --> IP Feb 22nd

Hi guys,

I am CEC inland

Aor Jan 31
Meds passed Feb 26
BGIP Feb 26

Some of the applicants have the 'Date when the file was transferred to visa office.'..

How do we know this date.? Is this date when BG goes in IP or Not Applicable?

Yes, that's the assumption. Once BG status goes to NA from IP for the first time, the file is ready to transfer to LVO (Local Visa Office) for eligibility assessment and final decision.

Hi Baji. Did you get any update on your BC?

Hi Gagan, yes I got an update yesterday. My BG changed to Not Applicable from Next step to conduct a BG Check. It seems my R10 and Criminal checks might done. One more BG change to go before PPR mail.

Hi Everyone,

I'm a PNP-Inland applicant (AOR: Jan 1)

1. How do I know when my BG went to 2nd stage? Do I get notified?
2. Does CIC request Schedule A to everyone? If so, do they send you a message via myCIC account or email?

Thanks in advance for your help!

My timeline:
Stream- CEC
AOR- January 18
Medicals passed- feb 22

My BG just changed for the FIRST time from "your application is in progress. Next step is to conduct a background check" to "not applicable". What does that mean?
