I send email to ask about Visa Office and they replied: "Please note that your application is currently being Processed at the Case Processing Centre in Vegreville.". I am CEC with AOR Jan 9 and no update. I guess this Visa Office is slow compared to Ottawa and Sydney, NS

Thanks a lot for sharing. Now that is really worrying news. Most likely its a CPC with tiny amount of staff so that means we are looking at closer to 6 months processing time. Depressing!

I wish we could transfer our applications to a different CPC lol

Here is the email address CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca
Make sure to include Application number in the subject line

DOB, First name, Last name, UCI number, Passport number and Immigration class(CEC/FSW) you applied are mandatory in the body of the email.

Just ask for, which visa office is processing your application

When did you send an email? I emailed CPC Ottawa yesterday and got that:
This is an automatic response to acknowledge the receipt of your email.
Due to a high volume of inquiries we are only able to respond to case-specific inquiries and the service standard is 20 working days.
I had the same response too. I got the actual email stating that my case is been processed in Ottawa the next day (about 24 hours)

I wrote to them on Monday and have not received a reply yet. Requested for my UCI number too; mentioned all the other details.

Just to let you know,

I applied for BOWP on January 14, 2017 and got my application approved today. My current post graduate work permit expires on March 7. Was very close.

does this mean, my R10 is clear (passed)?

I am thinking to get the gcms note.
Guys, I have question on that...

1. Please select the Department where you would like to submit an Access to Information or Privacy request.
on this question we are selecting : Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) ?? YES

2. Select the category that best describes you.
Academia, Business, Media, organization, member of the public, or decline to identify ? Which one should I select here ? (I am working full time and applied under CEC.) MEMBER of the PUBLIC

Thank You!

AOR: Jan 28th
Meds passed: March 2nd
Review of eligibility: in progress: March 2nd
Review of submitted documents: no additional docs required at this time: March 2nd
Interview: not needed at this time: March 2nd
Background check: in progress March 2nd
Final decision: not started March 2nd

What does this all mean for our timeline? I'm just not sure what order stuff generally goes in. We never got an email to say updated profile until today so I assume our meds passed today along with all the other changes.

Can anybody help with clarity on this please?

I was checking November group and that looks already good (around 50% of PPR). And they started to work on December as well (14%).

So that means this group will see more positive progress very soon and April shall be a really happy month for us.

Yeah, my advice is for everyone to not over analyse every change all the notes etc.

I am seeing Dec and Nov folk moving along well, our time will come soon

Once December applicants are cleared - we should see some movement with January applicant..

It is pretty obvious that its not really depends on the month of AOR, it purely depends on

- Specific case officer
- Progress of background check for individual applicants
- Stream
- Specific VO

Therefore, some early applicants like april-may-june-july applicants are still waiting, while some January are getting PPRs.
