Hey guys,

I am part of the unlucky CEC e_AOR Jan 1-10 group who doesn't see any updates to their application, not even medicals. CEC applicants from Feb are already getting Meds passed. Can someone recommend some course of action to figure out what is going on and why we are forgotten?

Thanks a lot to this wonderful community.

Don't worry, I am a part of that same unlucky group...lets hope for some updates soon.

Guys information needed !!!

I received my AOR on Jan 23rd and no updates since. 'Review of Submitted Documents' section does not have any data. Its empty. Will this section be empty always? or will it change after a period of time? I have seen posts from people with 'No documents required now' for 'Review of Submitted Documents' section.

Please help !!

Usually once your medical exams pass then the documents section changes to No documents required now.
Relax, CEC applications move fast once your medicals are cleared.

actually, looking at my history, my "review of submitted documents" section changed once background check changed to not started... what does your background check say?

My background check says 'Not Needed at this time' . Review of eligibility is 'Review in progress' since AOR. Nothing changed :(

Hope your words are true :)

I didn't. Do we need to?
Not mandatory, but they might ask for RCMP. But the trend I observed is if you do RCMP upfront, BG changes from NN to NS, If you dind do RCMP up front BG changes from NN to IP.

I have 3 friends who have submitted their RCMP upfront and their BG changed from NN to IP.

Hi JP, just looking at your CRS:1080, wondering are you under PNP, instead of CEC?
I think it takes longer for PNP to have any movements compared to FSW & CEC.

9 days since BG IP. I predict an RCMP request coming in my inbox soon lol ;D

Is this first BG Change? Because, I have seen majority of the people who submitted RCMP upfront, the BG Check trend is same "NN-NS-NN-IP". Like you said, exceptions are there everywhere irrespective of what stream are they from.

Is it true that they don't ask all CEC to submit RCMP?

No, there are cases where CIC asked to submit RCMP for CEC stream as well.

As others said, they can do what they want if they feel like. It is not a problem though. More like in their routine background check they found a person with similar name and similar age/gender in the national database and they want to make sure it is not you hence they ask for fingerprints. "Criminal record check" sounds scarier than what the intention is.
