You too vensak!

I've taken up cooking! At the moment I'm looking for a shop around here where I can get some fenugreek leaves (kasoori methi) and black cardamon seeds... Planning on cooking up a decent curry, but it's a nightmare trying to find all these spices over here in Brazil!!!! Also mace (javantry)... WTH??? I'll try to explain that it's nutmeg's outter coating... but I'm not feeling lucky...

So guys, what to expect now after the BG went back to NN?
What to keep my eye on?

Also, does anyone know what it signifies? did i pass eligibility?

Haaaa! This wait is frustrating for us all.

@vensak, @G126

I noticed some applicants background check change to not needed, from not started in days. while others taking awhile any idea why?

@G126 any news on your background check? Changed to not needed yet?

Good question! I wonder what happens in the case of death of primary applicant and no representative is appointed?
(I have no intention to find that out for myself)

Goodness, that is the most depressing thing I read today. I guess in that case, they'd not know, your time to land would be up and eventually you'd lose PR but I guess that would not matter to a non-existent person at that point. :o :(

Very depressing thought indeed!

Eventually it will get to a stage where some interaction would be necessary (like in PPR you need to send them your PP) and after the deadline you process would be cancelled/refused I guess.

Death of primary applicant will end up in whole case cancelled (you cannot land without him / her)
Death of any dependant will just change the family composition.

Yes! And if it happened after one had become PR, the 2 out of 5 years will have passed with no presence and that period would end with the loss of PR status. But I think.....losing life is a far more terrifying thought than losing PR :D

And on a serious note, I hope that never happens with anyone.

I can only guess:
1. Type of application FSW / CEC / PNP - for PNP they might wait for some info from the province that nominated (that can cause delays)
2. LVO - each visa office - some offices are overcrowded with applications, so they need more time because they can update on the BG of the specific case (SGVO, NDVO, SPVO, Accra, Pretoria...)
3. If there is something suspicious that triggers longer checkup, that can also cause delays (army history, government jobs, certain countries, nationalities or areas, visa refusals in the past or visa overstays...)
4. Bad timing (that would be the moment when somebody is leaving the job while other is taking new position)
5. Other priorities in LVO or in Central office (Ontario Illness....)
