Oh....copy cat.....this is not fair. Good observation Raj.
I have saved a few responses to key questions from Asivad.
I have used those to help others on this forum, but I have always mentioned Asivad's name for those posts as he gets the credit for it, not me. I just get the credit for sharing that post, that's it.

Hope people will be more careful with this matter in future.

1) No need for CAPS, you're a newbie (with only 9 posts so far) and no one is blaming you; but

2) It's generally good practice to reference things you copy from elsewhere, if you don't it's just plagiarism, so please give references in the future ;)

BTW, congrats on your change of Status from NS to NN... I think you've made EVERYONE in this thread envious :P

Hi G126,

When are you expecting your gcms notes?
I am thinking of ordering for mine soon. Which of the service providers do you recommend?

Ahh good question! So I was told that the request had gone to IRCC on the 2nd FEB and the service says it can take up to 40 days, but I've heard it actually takes around 15-20 days... So any time from 17th FEB to mid way through March I guess.

So, the three I've seen people use on the forum are:
- http://gcmsnow.com/ - $23 (USD)
- http://visafile.info/ - $25 (USD)
- http://www.caips.ca/ - $40 (CAD)

I went with the cheapest (gcmsnow)... The one I've seen most people using is the second one. The third one is the most expensive initially, but after the first request the price goes down to $30 (CAD).

If I'm happy (i.e.: notes get's here before the end of the month) I'll carry on with the one I'm currently using, if not then I may change to another.

I was getting crazy already (also it is less than 40 days since i got AOR) and I have ordered my GCMS ( I have used the second one). I am expecting them in March.

And I am getting a bit crazy from that constant account checking. (5x a day).

Ahhh excellent! Join the GCMS club as it were! ;D ;D

My original plan was to wait 2.5 months.. Then I changed it to 6 weeks... and then changed it again to 4 weeks... hahahahha... Couldn't hack waiting either. Now I'm OK... after ordering the notes you realize there is absolutely niothing else to do so you kind of relax a little.

Let me know as soon as yours arrives and I'll do the same.. that way we can compare the speed of GCMSnow vs VISAFILE.info ;)

I must admit I'm checking only once a day now... I've successfully convinced myself that if the email has a 24 hours delay I just need to check once a day everyday to catch the update before the email arrived :D

Yeah, your post convinced me of that too, which is why I keep checking 10 times a day. Even though it's just been 11 days since AOR. But pooja parekh's post of status change makes me do that even more frequently now.

Yes, every new status change that is something you're hoping to get makes you even more anxious for a change...

In your case it's even worse, CEC really does take a while to change and I don't recommend you get notes before you see something on you file at least otherwise you may well get an empty file back...

But look at it from the bright side, apparently CECs move very quickly onde they actually get moving so you may have to wait for 2 months to see some movement and find that in just another month you'll get PPR...

The best advice for you is just to have patience and stay positive.

Thank you, that's what I am trying to do. I cannot order GCMS notes though, at any stage, given that I am outland and not inland applicant.

We are as well, but we still did. You can use one of the services mentioned above to order them if you are still abroad.

Wow, thank you! That's extremely helpful. I think I will go for it after two or three weeks.

Hmmm... if you're outland then your status should change soon I think! So my suggestion is wait for a change before ordering ;)

The catch with GCMS Notes is that if you're inland then you can do it yourself for $5 CAD. If you're Outland then you either get a friend Inland to do it for $5 for you or you use a consulting service (that is based in Canada) to do this for you, the three I found are up there in my post... If you or anyone else find others then please share.

+1 to you for sharing that, great info. I will not bother with GCMS notes until a month or so.

I too ordered my GCMS notes. I submitted the online application yesterday. Exactly a month and 2 hours after receiving the AOR.

I understand that it's probably useless since I'm CEC inland with zero updates thus far, but I felt like I could spare $5 for the sake of sanity. ;D

Oh yeah! Join the club as well... and only for $5! Lucky you... If I could order if for $5 I'd be probably ordering it on a by-weekly basis! :P
