Hi All,
I've been reading this thread for a really long time but never replied. I want to thank you all for your support and your insight; your posts are really helpful and thought-relieving.

I just received the Golden Email yesterday, so I want to share a little bit of timeline with all of you.

I'm a BC PNP-Nominated Applicant (In-land), and I submitted my application on December 15, 2016. My AOR is Dec 16, 2016.

I received a request for additional documents on Mar 6, 2017, and I note that my medical passed at the same time. The additional document requested was my IELTS test result, which I made another submission on the same day.

I then waited for almost another two months to see my BG turn into IP2, and it turned into BG IP2 last week.

This Wednesday, I note that there is a new line, biometrics, stating "We do not need your fingerprints."

On June 8, 2017, I received my golden email.

So there was a glitch and CIC portal showed me they need additional documents. So I emailed them to ask about what they need, they replied nothing is required and this stuff about additional verifications.

Finally good job done by you for others as well. Mine is still showing additional documents are required. As someone here on forum told me its a glitch and there is no placeholder to add additional documents or any new message in my CIC account, thought it to be a glitch.

By the way, mine is still showing additional documents required. So what does your shows now since you have already got the response now. Did you tried checking it again what it shows?

I mean that this message has some meaning its not just a meaningless bug. It could be an indication that the application is under-going additional checks/verification

It's still showing they need documents, agents can't fix it, tech issue

Dude this message is generic. Applies to every profile. Info about Additional checks is specific

I got the same email from CIC when I messaged them:

Your file is currently under review and requires additional verifications. As a result, the assessment period will be outside of our posted processing times.


Unfortunately at this time we are not able to determine when your application will be finalized, but our office will contact you as soon as all verifications are completed, or if any additional information or documents are required.


Your patience is very much appreciated.

I called on that today and the agent said it's a bug.
But what I think is; it's there for all those who had been requested to submit docs and will be there until they have looked into the document. For instance, I uploaded the RCMP CHECK and they are yet to touch it.
I think it will change as soon as they touch the uploaded document. Just my thought.
In fact, IRCC has acknowledged on their site now that the "additional documents needed " is an error.

I have that message, but at no point have been requested to provide any additional documents.

However from my GCMS notes my application is undergoing additional security clearing.

Dear the message you are talking about is in the profile of al least half of the applicants.does that mean that all thesea are security screened right now. Thats what i gather of your logic between your understanding of status on mycic and your interpretation of gcms
